Introducing the 1916 Giving Society

In honor of our founding year, Bank Street has created the 1916 Giving Society to recognize individuals and families who make annual gifts of $1,916 or more as philanthropic leaders who support Bank Street’s annual funds. In its inaugural year, the Society is proud to celebrate donors who represent every constituency, including parents, grandparents, alumni, alumni parents, faculty and staff, and our many friends of the Bank Street College of Education. The generosity of 1916 Society members plays an essential role in sustaining our founder Lucy Sprague Mitchell’s mission—“to build a better society through education.” We are grateful to each and every member for their commitment in supporting progressive education.
