IAAF Award Sees Banner Batteries End 2015 On A High Banner Batteries – a globally recognised manufacturer of batteries and battery accessories - brought the curtain down on a successful 2015 having received the prestigious IAAF (Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation) CV Supplier of Excellence award.
Presented to Banner Batteries’ Country Manager, Lee Quinney at the IAAF’s Annual Awards ceremony held it the ICC in Birmingham recently, more than 30 aftermarket companies contested the awards that this year received a record number of nominations.
As an exuberant Lee Quinney said: “The IAAF Awards are arguably one of the most prestigious in the industry and we are understandably delighted to have come out on top within the CV Supplier of Excellence category. Over the last eight months the whole team at Banner Batteries has worked tirelessly to drive forward the company’s ambitious development strategy and the award serves to recognise the hard work, endeavour and enthusiasm that they have shown.
“I would like to thank the IAAF distributors that took time to nominate Banner Batteries and they can rest assured that the company has its sights set firmly on building on the success it has achieved this year into 2016 and beyond,” he added.
With this year being the first in the IAAF’s history where members could have a direct influence on the awards by being able to vote via the Federation’s re-vamped website, in the CV Supplier of Excellence category distributors voted on a scale of poor to excellent covering categories such as range, marketing and cataloguing; its availability performance and also sales and promotion support.
The award ceremony was held after the IAAF’s Annual Conference and attracted almost 600 key industry players from across the UK aftermarket.
Under the stewardship of Country Manager, Lee Quinney who joined Banner Batteries in February of last year, the company has made a resurgent push into the UK aftermarket and with marked success. At the heart of its approach and methodology is a focus on Banner’s original equipment pedigree, supplying to the likes of Porsche, BMW, Aston Martin and Mercedes.
