MediaInfo On November 2, Banner is to launch its new Power Bull GENERATION 2011 battery onto the market Linz-Leonding/A (October 28, 2010). The Austrian battery manufacturer, Banner, is about to launch its new Power Bull GENERATION 2011 batteries onto the market, right on time for the beginning of the winter. The new battery, which will be on sale from November 2, incorporates proven full calcium technology and is characterised by even greater durability. The cold months of the year constitute a special challenge to car batteries. Accordingly, Banner is to launch its new Power Bull GENERATION 2011 series onto the market on November 2. The batteries have a height of 190mm and therefore correspond with the first fitting standard of leading manufacturers such as BMW and VW. In addition, the Power Bull GENERATION 2011 has been specially developed with the demands of modern cars in view. As a result of the massive increase in on-board power consumption caused by numerous control devices, the cyclical loads on starter batteries have recently risen sharply. It is precisely these demands that Banner’s further development of the Power Bull meets in full. The Leonding-based company employs full calcium technology for its new product. Due to increased peak current, this offers more starting power and longer life and as Andreas Bawart, Banner’s commercial CEO explains, the reasoning behind this latest battery generation is clear: “Power Bull is our flagship brand when it comes to quality and with the GENERATION 2011, we have responded to the current trend among the OEMs.”

MediaInfo More power at the same price During first fitting, modern cars are almost exclusively equipped with batteries of a standard height of 190mm. As opposed to standard batteries, this extra height offers a larger electrolyte volume, which provides greater safety, improved deep discharge capacity and easier recharging. The new Power Bull GENERATION 2011 batteries will be supplied to specialist retailers from November 2, 2010. Banner offers five standard types in the Power Bull series with capacities of 50Ah, 62Ah, 74Ah, 80Ah and 100Ah, all at the same price as comparable products with a height of only 175mm.
