MediaInfo Linz-Leonding, November 8, 2011 2011 battery test In the latest 2011 European automobile club battery test completed by the ÖAMTC Austria, ADAC Germany and TCS Switzerland, the Banner Power Bull P7209 type battery received a “Good”, which represents the top rating awarded during such tests. In the course of the most rigorous, independent battery examination in Europe, the power pack from Banner, the starter battery specialists, was able to convince the leading clubs right down the line. As Günther Lemmerer, the Banner spokesperson in Austria, stresses: “This independent and objective battery test confirms the high quality standard of our premium product Power Bull. This means that the Power Bull is our first choice as a replacement battery.” During the latest battery test by the European automobile clubs, a total of six Banner P7209 type batteries with stated performance capacity of 72 ampere hours (Ah) and 660 ampere (A) cold start current were examined. The result was a “Good” and thus the highest rating awarded by the automobile clubs. Indeed, during the 2011 test, the stipulated individual values were clearly surpassed and in addition, the Banner batteries were primarily able to score during the durability examination, which is a clear indication of the long service life of Banner premium products in practical operation. For the toughest demands The Banner Power Bull battery was not only designed in accordance with the European EN 50.342-1 standard. In addition, it fulfils the strictest demands of leading automotive manufacturers. With its Power Bull technology, for many years Banner has served as a first fitter for leading carmakers such as BMW, VW and Skoda. A further developed product The premium battery manufacturer Banner first launched a more advanced Power Bull onto the market at the end of 2010. This battery was created especially to meet the needs of modern cars, which today employ a far higher number of control devices and thus place far greater cyclical loads on starter batteries. With its new Power Bull product series, Banner has responded precisely to this trend. Günther Lemmerer: “The Banner Power Bull with proven pure calcium technology is the ideal power pack for vehicles with high energy requirements. Above all, this battery stands out due to its increased durability and it also offers markedly more safety, better deep discharge capacity and easier charging.” With a view to the outstanding rating achieved by the battery during the latest automobile club test in 2011, Lemmerer is also convinced that: “The test result represents clear evidence of the probity of Banner’s decision to develop the Power Bull further.” Contact: Günther Lemmerer, Marketing and PR Banner GmbH Banner Strasse 1;4021 Linz-Leonding (A) Tel. +43/(0)732/38 88 – 21550; Fax Ext. 61550 Mobile +43/(0)676/873 81 550 E-mail: guenther.lemmerer@bannerbatterien.com www.bannerbatterien.com
