Time Management Assignment
Time Management Instructions for the Advisor The time management module consists of both a short and an extended version. It is intended for clients who have problems planning and completing activities and who are interested in tips and activities involving planning, and for whom time management is not the main cause of their stress symptoms but is one area where they wish for improvement. Assignment 1 - Determining goals: By evaluating your work goals you can determine which areas of work you are less effective in. The client can also apply these techniques to non-work situations Assignment 2 - Logbook/Diary: By keeping a log, the client can gain an accurate picture of his/her time spent working. The log is kept for one week. In order to keep the log it is necessary for the client to be back at work - Agree with your client whether the log is kept for work activities or all activities - On the log form complete the goals for the day, the activities carried out and an evaluation of the activities. Advise the client to fill in the log throughout the day. It is especially important to track interruptions and breaks. Assignment 3 - Priority Matrix: In completing this matrix the client creates a summary of each activity and note whether it is/is not important or whether it is/is not urgent. -The priority matrix can be used once or several times by the client until the task is completed (this can be done by using the tasks in the log until completed).
