Living Well with our on site Connect Services
Our Living Well philosophy is all about maximising your wellbeing, freeing up time for the things you love and maintaining your lifestyle and independence.
With our Connect Services you’ll have peace of mind knowing that you can stay in your home comfortably for longer and retain the friendships, connections and support that Yarra Rossa provides. Your dedicated Living Well Connect Coordinator can help you access a range of services through our network of partners.

If you’d like an extra helping hand around the house, we’ve got you covered.
Care Connect
At times, health and care needs can change. Care services can be delivered in your own home by health professionals.
Social Connect
A range of activities – healthy, social and energising – will be offered and planned by your Village Manager.
Your Living Well Connect Coordinator will be on site at Yarra Rossa regularly, so you can meet in person to discuss your needs and goals.

HOME CONNECT
If you’d like an extra helping hand around the house, we’ve got you covered. Love someone to cook your meals? Want someone to do your washing or keep your apartment spotless? We can arrange it. Your Living Well Connect Coordinator will help you access these services so you can relax and spend more time doing the things you love.
Services may include:

• Minor home modifications
Packages
Cleaning Basics
Vacuuming, dusting and mopping your home, plus cleaning the surfaces of the kitchen, laundry and bathroom
Service Basics
All the cleaning basics, plus making beds and changing bed linen
Service Basics Plus
All the service basics, plus one hour of in-home laundry service
Café Meals
Get café meals delivered to your apartment. Prices as per café menu or pre-pay for a pack of 10 meals for a 10% discount. Orders must be placed at least one day prior.

CARE CONNECT
At times, health and care needs can change. If you or your partner require more support, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that your Living Well Connect Coordinator can arrange for BaptistCare at home services to be delivered in your own home to ensure you continue to live your best life, at home at Yarra Rossa. It’s just one more way we take care of your health with convenient, specialised care options should the need arise.
Services may include:
Personal Care Services
Assistance with bathing, toileting, dressing, personal hygiene
Registered Nurse Care
Injections, wound care and management and health monitoring
Grocery & Meals
Grocery shopping, cooking and assistance with meals
Therapeutic & Clinical Care
This will be determined by your needs, however may include things like a physiotherapist for a short-term injury
Respite Care
You can access in-home respite services for up to one week, including overnight and during the day
Smart Care Assistive Technology
Recommend and arrange technology including falls alarms, health monitoring, call checks, medication reminders and more
Advisory
For continence, mobility and dementia
In addition to these BaptistCare at home services, our consulting rooms will have visiting Medical & Allied Health Practitioners during scheduled times. The visiting practitioners will be determined by residents’ demand but may include; GP, Nurse, Podiatrist, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Masseuse, Hearing & Vision Services.

SOCIAL CONNECT
Designed to enrich your life and keep your social calendar as full as you choose. A range of activities –healthy, social and energising – will be offered and planned by your Village Manager. We respect that every individual has a different vision for retirement, and you have the freedom to decide how involved you’d like to be.
While most Social Connect activities are free, some – such as outings or classes - will have a small fee.
Activities will be determined by the residents’ interest and may include:
Lifestyle Program
Gardening, mentoring, tutoring
Wellness Program
Brain training, puzzles, philosophy, debating, language learning, exercise such as yoga or aqua aerobics
Cultural Outings
Art, museum, music, ballet, opera, classic music
Volunteer Network
Connecting you to volunteer organisations that match your interests
Social Activity
Social engagements, walks, companionship, company over meals, social outings, games and more
Transport on the Village Bus
Grocery shopping and local errands

How do I pay for these services?
You’ll have the flexibility to pay for your Home Connect and Care Connect Services as a private user-pays service or through government funding. You may also be able to do a combination of payment types if that better suits your financial situation.
As one of Australia’s leading notfor-profit providers since 1944, not only can BaptistCare provide services through your Home Care Package, but we also have access to funding through the Commonwealth Home Support Program. Speak to your Connect Coordinator to learn more.
Accessing a Home Care Package:
If you’d like a Home Care Package you need to be assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). Our Care Connect Coordinator can help you arrange this.
We understand that wait times for a Government-subsidised Home Care Package can be long and it may be difficult to fund much-needed care services while you await approval, especially if you’re on a fixed income.
To assist with this challenge, we give you the option to draw down funds from the Entry Payment on your retirement living apartment to
pay for your BaptistCare at home services while you wait for a level 2, 3 or 4 Home Care Package. You can draw down up to $30,000 for a period of up to two years, based on current BaptistCare at home package rates – ample to keep you covered.
Please note that if you already have a Home Care Package, you can continue receiving those services at Yarra Rossa, regardless of your provider. Or, our Connect Coordinator can help you move to BaptistCare at home services if you prefer.
