EL Application Server (ELAS) The EL Application Server (ELAS) is a 24/7 dedicated application server, which provides an answer to the growing demand for customer autonomy. The ELAS offers private remote access to EL security systems, allowing homeowners to easily check, activate, modify and communicate with their security system from anywhere in the world, through web-based or smartphone applications.

ELAS Architecture The fully redundant and scalable ELAS keeps central monitoring stations continually in touch with every device inside and outside the premises, integrating the status data from motion sensors, IP and PIR cameras, on-site control panels, and safety devices such as gas & fire detectors. Innovative video verification features allow virtual inspections in order to assess the need for on-site visits. ELAS Advantages for End Users The Convenience of Remote Management The ELAS's ability to adapt to the need of the moment introduces a new level of user-friendly operation. With the ELAS platform, the full range of user control, including video verification, can be easily accessed from PCs, smartphone devices (iPhone, iPad, Blackberry etc.) and other wireless platforms.
New Levels of Empowerment Homeowners can manage their homes from wherever they are to deal with small nuisances that may disrupt the operation of their security system. For example:
A window accidentally left open can be temporarily bypassed, allowing the security system to be armed everywhere else. A temporary (24-hour) user code can be created for house guests or repair crews to control the security system, rather than revealing the regular code. Family members and others who may need to enter the home (such as children returning from school) can be assisted by a parent who disarms the system from the work place.

Full Video Security Advanced PIR-based detection cameras installed at users’ premises offer combined detection and recording of video images and clips. The camera’s PIR detection automatically triggers recording of events which are then sent to users. Users may also enjoy enhanced services from monitoring stations that can verify events and determine the most appropriate response in real-time. Additionally, the recorded event images can also provide valuable evidence for insurance claims.

ELAS Advantages for Service Prֿo ֿ viders Video Verification Part of the added value that service providers can offer with the ELAS is real-time video verification for more efficient event assessment and response. This capability can be shared with the end-user if desired, creating extra revenue in the charges applied for video features, including video look-in and user-initiated video clips. Remote Firmware Management One of the biggest benefits of the ELAS system is the ease of upgrading security firmware through RFM. Back-Office Support A central index page displays all customers, their site status and history, their individual access data, and whether they are currently on-line. Each end-user is granted a password-protected database configured by the provider, with your choice of parameters available for monitoring, changes or activation/deactivation.
Additional Income Generation The ELAS scalability allows the integration of supplementary services. Providers can define end-user access to event logs, camera images and alert messages, based on a profit-building “optional� list. These are sent to users or security personnel via MMS, email or smartphone applications. Users can also trigger video transmission on demand, through the ELAS smartphone application and web interface, which remotely activates the PIR Camera and generates real-time snapshots of the protected site: verifying an intrusion, looking in on a child, or checking the premises for lights left on. Based on provider’s enduser control settings, users may likewise remotely disable the Camera to save battery power or protect privacy.
