The Obituary Mr Reginald (Reggie) Lamar Nixon made his entrance into this life on July 27, 1972. A bundle of joy if there had ever been one. He was raised in the town of Pearson, Ga surrounded by the family and friends he loved so dear. As time progressed “Reggie” did as well, he matriculated through the Atkinson County School System. During his school years he was a very popular young man. One who possessed a jovial and humble personality. It’s no wonder he was voted “best all around” by his peers. Reggie was a star athlete, excelling in the sports of football, basketball and track. Reggie was a graduating member of the Atkinson County High School Class of 1992, who all have very fond memories of him. Following graduation Reggie answered the call to serve his country and enlisted as a member of the United Stated Army. It was during his time in the army that he learned skills and developed relationships that he would maintain the entirety of his life. Reggie was indeed a one of a kind man, one who’s easygoing, joking demeanor and infectious laugh we all will never forget. On August 16,2021 the Lord declared that Reggie had completed his task and time here on earth. He therefore closed his eyes in time to awake in eternity. Though a surprise to man, it was predestined by God. Reginald leaves to mourn his passing but celebrate his legacy: His parents, Verene and James Johnson of Pearson Ga and Kelly Holland of West Palm Beach, FL. One daughter, Samara Nixon of Burleson, TX. Two sons, Marquis Nixon of Waycross Ga and Reginald Nixon Jr of Brunswick Ga. a very special friend, Arnita Wilson of Valdosta, GA. Siblings; Kenneth D Nixon, Yalenda Johnson both of Douglas Ga, Kawonda Holland of Marietta Ga, Kelly Holland of Chattanooga TN, Kelvin Holland and Leah Holland both of West Palm Beach Fl. Two special friends he loved as brothers, Adrian Fuller and Gregory Short. And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom he held close to his heart.
