SUNSET MARCH 13, 2021
Life Reflections Vicki Renee Jones Leverette, kind, loving, caring classy and beautiful were the words that described her.
She entered this life on March 26, 1959, the first of 3 children born to the union of Guy and Rosetta Jones. After the loss of her mother, she and her siblings were raised by maternal grandmother, Mrs. Winnie C. White. She attended Whiteford Elementary School and Gordon High School. Raised in a Christian home she accepted Christ and was baptized as a small child in the Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Hubert Floyd Shepherd. Later in life she would worship with the Midtown Bridge Church in Atlanta. She was also a counselor for young women. Forever a lover of people, she established a charity of homeless men and women that would help provide holiday support, meals for families and community service to those in need. She worked to find housing and employment for those in need. Vicki supported many local charities and community organizations across the city of Atlanta. Determined to inspire others, she created a daily inspirational text thread. Vicki met Jerome Leverette and the two were wed on December 16, 2017, after an extensive friendship . She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Rosetta Jones, grandmother, Winnie C. White and daughter, Temeeka S. Jones. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Jerome Leverette, a brother, Gary Jones (Bridgette), a devoted sister, Avis Berry (Rickey), 3 children, Walter, Xavier and Deunte’, 12 grandchildren, great grandchildren, an Aunt and Uncle, and a host of relatives and friends.

My Sister To my Sister, We have shared so many happy times and some sad times too, but our happy times far outweigh our bad. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 was your life for over 14 years. You were the epitome of those verses of scripture. Once you started to slip away from me, these scriptures became all the more clearer to me. There truly is a time and a season for everything. Your life was a season for planting. Over the course of the past couple of weeks, I realized that you planted your seeds for the last 14 years. God gave you the tools to till the land and you planted the seeds into good ground through Jesus Christ. You watered them daily with your daily inspirational text messages. There were so many that gave their life to Christ all because of seeds that you planted. One plants, another waters, but God gives the harvest. (1 Corinthians 3:6-9) As your season of planting was coming to an end, I became selfish because I did not want to believe that your work was finished. I had to give you back to Christ. Once I came to this realization, my heart was sad and broken into pieces. I thought to myself as I talked to God, He gave me 58 years of life with my sister, my best friend, my confidant, my road trip partner and my shopping buddy. Sister your seeds fell on good ground. God blessed others because of and through you. I know that you are now shouting and praising God in heaven, as you always have here on earth, no matter where or when. I thank you for planting seeds in my life, as well as the lives of others. I will forever love you. Your daily inspirational messages always ended with “peace and blessings.” I love you, your favorite and only sister. As we would often say “we all we got.” Love you to infinity, Avis
Acknowledgements The family of Mrs. Vicki Jones-Leverette would like to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to each of you for your acts of kindness extended to us during this difficult time. May God bless each of you.
