OUR STORY Phase Eight was established by Patsy Seddon in London in 1979. Finding a gap in the market for fashionable clothing that was practical, affordable and sophisticated, she began designing her own pieces, and launched ‘Phase Eight’ in a small boutique in London. The name originated from a combination of P. Hayes, Patsy’s maiden name, and the address of our first shop, 8 Bellevue Road. Over the years we have maintained the same core principles developed by Patsy - an original, design-led brand offering a personal shopping experience to customers looking for a full wardrobe solution: beautiful and affordable casual, day, work and occasion wear. The brand’s strength is found in its originality; exclusive designs combined with beautiful fabrics and a strong heritage in print, with a design philosophy that transcends all ages. Our customer is 35-55, stylish and discerning, demanding premium, flattering designs for all occasions. The Phase Eight brand reflects her individuality: never a slave to fashion, she trusts the brand to help her translate contemporary trends to suit her style, but never at the expense of comfort and confidence. We are meticulous in creating clothing that fits, flatters and offers our customer exceptional quality in every piece. The boutique feel of our shops is mirrored by the experience of wearing our clothes; in producing smaller quantities, our range has a ‘limited edition’ feel which adds to its appeal for the modern woman who wants to stand out from the crowd. In the last 10 years, Phase Eight has grown significantly and now has over 450 stores and concessions globally.
