World Renowned Martial Artist Master Tadashi Yamashita Comes to Hales Corners! East West Connection Martial Arts and Wellness hosted a very special seminar on Saturday May 25th 2019. The seminar featured Master Tadashi Yamashita, a 10th Dan in Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate. Master Yamashita teaches all over the world, as far as Greece and Bulgaria! The May 25th event consisted of a variety of high quality instruction led by Master Yamashita. The Kama, a classical Okinawan weapon, was taught along with empty hand karate with emphasis on spontaneous self defense and unique Sui Ken Do karate techniques. Students traveled to East West Connection in Hales Corners from as far as Indiana and Minnesota for the opportunity to train under Master Yamashita. The owner of East West Connection is Sensei Dan Schroeder. Sensei Schroeder is a 9th Dan in Shorin Ryu karate, and is head instructor under Master Yamashita. With over 50 years of karate experience he offers his students an enormous amount of experience and quality karate instruction. The camaraderie of the karate community extended outside of the event afterwards, where over 40 students of karate had lunch with Sensei Schroeder and Master Yamashita at Diamond Jims in Hales Corners. The entire event will be memorable for years to come!
