Project 5: Logo Process Book Maria Barmettler Graphic Design Colleen Syron Fall 2015
SKETCHES: After researching Farm to Table, I sketched 48+ sketches trying to convey a simple idea that gets the point across all at the same time. As well as keeping in mind that I needed to pick one that was visually appeaing and could combine with typeface.
DIGITIZED: Next, I chose 4 of the 48 sketches and digitizaled them and added typeface.
ITERATIONS: Once choosing one of my final four, I did different variations of it, including color versions as well as black and white versions.
REFINING: After the first critique and receiving feedback, I decided to add more to my logo with more vegetables as well as silverware that were all cohesive.
REFINING: After finalizing the silverware and vegetables used, I matched all the handles of the silverware, added shading to the spoon, erased shadowing behind the carrot, etc.
TYPEFACE: One of the last steps was choosing which typeface went together the best. I did several different variations and decided on American Typeriter; bold.
DETAILS: The last step to finalizing my logo as adding an outer circle around my logo. I chose the light green because green was an apparent color throughout all three vegetables.
