Evaluation: I feel that this piece has gone really quite well as I feel I have collected a substantial amount of information and created good links along with a good presentation of my work. As this was my first time using Adobe illustrator I feel I have got on quite well with getting to grips with it and managing to create an entire magazine in such a relativley short space of time. The thing I found hardest to grasp was the learing of operating illustrator and getting the correct file size of my PDF as it would not upload to Issuu if not. Also I have not used Apple Macs before so getting to grips with these was quite a challenge. These skills are important to learn because these programmes and machines are what we will be using for the rest of our course. As I began to play around with the programmes I was told to use, I becacme more and more familiar with the concepts and what I had to do it became easier and there was more fluidity in my work. Each page I have created in my Illustrator document, I have tried to reflect as much of my opinion as possible. By doing this I have felt that this makes my work more personal to me and will hopefully help my tutors see where I have been coming from with my ideas. The tasks we were given have all linked in with eachother in some way which has also given the magazine style article a good flow to it and as a final product I think its really quite professional. Where I feel I could have improved was with my layout and presentation. On reflection I think that the layout of my magazine could have been better but I think it isnt terrible so I’m not too unhappy with it. If there was something I could have done differently I think I would have collected information from more varied sources such as books, as I havent really included many other forms of information. Overall I feel this project has gone well and I am happy with my outcomes. My PDF I feel is good and shows thought, along with a good execution of the work. I look forward to the next piece of work I am to complete as I did enjoy creating this one.
