¾ cup of old fashioned oatmeal ¾ cup of unsweetened almond milk 1 tablespoon of chia seeds Splash of almond extract Barney Butter Bare Smooth (to your liking) Coconut flakes Mini chocolate chips

• Combine oats, milk, chia seeds, spoonful of Barney Butter, and almond extract in a plastic container or mason jar. • Place in refrigerator overnight to let the overnight oats form. • Serve with Barney Butter to your liking, along with coconut flakes, and chocolate chips.

HOMEMADE ALMOND BUTTER CRUNCH CEREAL

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°F

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

1 egg ½ cup of Barney Butter Bare Smooth Almond Butter ¼ cup of maple syrup Splash of vanilla extract 1 cup of oat flour 1 teaspoon of baking powder

• Combine egg, almond butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. • Mix with KitchenAid or mixer of choice until combined. • Add oat flour and baking powder and mix until dough forms. • Roll dough into small ¼-inch diameter balls and place on a parchment-lined baking pan. • Bake in oven at 350°F until golden, about 5 minutes. Let cool on pan about 5 minutes before transferring to a place to cool completely. • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.

QUINOA CHOCOLATE BARS

NO BAKING REQUIRED

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

BARS: 1 cup pitted dates ½ cup cooked quinoa, cooled 1 cup raw walnuts ½ cup Barney Butter Smooth Almond Butter ⅓ cup raisins

• Place all bar ingredients in food processor and process until blended into big ball of dough. • Press mixture evenly into 8" x 8” baking dish. • Place in refrigerator and begin making chocolate layer. • Microwave chocolate chip and coconut oil for about 30 seconds or more until melted. • Pour on top of chilled quina mixture and pop back in refrigerator for another 30 minutes or so until chocolate layer is hard. • Keep in refrigerator for 5-7 days.

CHOCOLATE LAYER: ½ cup chocolate chips ½ tablespoon coconut oil

PECAN PIE ALMOND BUTTER BALLS

NO BAKING REQUIRED

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

1 cup of pitted dates ½ cup of Barney Butter Honey + Flax Almond Butter 1 cup raw pecan halves 1 cup old fashioned oats ¼ cup of maple syrup 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice ½ cup unsweetened coconut flakes (optional)

• Place all ingredients into food processor and blend until a sticky dough forms (about 3 minutes). • Remove blade, the dough from food processor and roll the dough into eleven 2-inch balls. • Place the coconut flakes in a small shallow dish. If desired, roll the balls in the coconut flakes and transfer to a serving plate. Store refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks.

KALE SALAD WITH ALMOND BUTTER DRESSING

PREHEAT OVEN TO 400°F

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

FOR SALAD: 2 cups of kale, massaged 1½ tablespoons of olive oil 1 cup of roasted butternut squash, peeled and roughly cubed 1 tablespoon of sunflower seeds 2 heaping tablespoons of pomegranate seeds Avocado slices (if desired)

TO COOK SQUASH: • Preheat oven to 400°F. • Peel and cube butternut squash. • Toss in 1 tbs. of olive oil with salt and pepper to taste. • Place on a greased baking tray and bake for 20 minutes, take squash out and flip over, then bake for another 15 minutes until tender, but not burnt.

FOR DRESSING: ¼ cup of Barney Butter Smooth Almond Butter 1 tablespoon of tahini ¼ cup of olive oil 2 tablespoons of warm water (use more for thinner texture) Salt and pepper to taste

TO SAUTÉ KALE: • Massage kale to break up fibers. • Sauté over medium heat w/ 2 teaspoons of olive oil for approximately 7 minutes, until kale is wilted but not completely crispy. TO MAKE DRESSING: • Whisk together ¼ cup of almond butter, ¼ cup of olive oil, 1 tbs. of tahini, 2 tbs. of warm water, and salt and pepper to taste. • Leftover dressing can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. TO ASSEMBLE SALAD: Toss together sautéed kale, 1 cup of roasted butternut squash, sunflower seeds, avocado slices, and pomegranate seeds with 1-2 tbs. of almond butter dressing (depending on how heavily you want it dressed). 15

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°F

1 large egg 1 cup of Barney Butter Smooth Almond Butter ¾ cup granulated sugar ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1 cup all-purpose flour ½ teaspoon baking powder ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks

• In a medium bowl, mix together the flour and baking powder. • In a separate medium-size bowl, beat together the egg, almond butter, coconut sugar, almond milk, and vanilla extract. • Slowly add to the dry mixture and mix until just combined, then stir in the chocolate chunks. • Pour batter into a greased 8” square pan. • Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes, remove from oven and allow to fully cool before cutting into squares. • Store in refrigerator for up to a week.

HONEY FLAX ALMOND BUTTER PROTEIN BARS

NO BAKING REQUIRED

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

⅔ cup of oat flour ¾ cup of Vanilla Protein Powder ¼ cup of maple syrup 1 tablespoon chia seeds 1 cup of Barney Butter Honey + Flax Almond Butter 2 tablespoons of almond milk

• Line an 8x8” square pan with parchment paper. • In a small bowl, mix together the almond milk, almond butter, and maple syrup until well-combined. • In a separate bowl, stir together the oat flour and protein powder. • Slowly stir the dry mixture into the wet mixture and combine until a dough forms, then knead the dough with your hands. • Roll out the dough into a flat square. • Place flattened dough into parchment lined pan and spread evenly with your fingers. • Place dough in freezer and let cool for at least 1 hour. • Take dough out of the freezer, pull out of the pan with the parchment paper and slice into 10 slices (5"x2”). • Store in refrigerator or freezer for up to 3 weeks.

THE BIG VEGAN RAINBOW BOWL W/ MAPLE ALMOND BUTTER DRESSING INGREDIENTS DRESSING: 2 tablespoons Barney Butter Bare Smooth Almond Butter 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup 3 tablespoons olive oil 1 small clove garlic, minced Salt and pepper Water to thin, if needed SALAD: 1 tablespoon olive oil Salt and pepper 1 head romaine lettuce, thinly chopped 20 grape tomatoes, sliced 2 medium carrots, diced or peeled into ribbons 1 avocado, sliced 6 ounces blueberries 4 ounces (about ½ head) purple cabbage, sliced thin and diced 3 radishes, sliced into matchsticks

INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE DRESSING: Mix almond butter, maple syrup, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper in a small container. Mix well to combine. Add a bit of hot water if needed to thin dressing to desired consistency. The dressing should be thick, yet pourable. TO ASSEMBLE SALAD: Add all other salad ingredients to a large bowl. Add roasted potatoes on top. Pour dressing over top and mix well to combine.

COOKIE DOUGH MUFFINS (WITH VEGAN ALTERNATIVE)

PREHEAT OVEN TO 375°F

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

3 cups Barney Bakery Almond Flour 1 teaspoon baking powder ¼ teaspoon salt ½ cup Barney Butter Smooth Almond Butter 1 cup vanilla almond milk 1 large egg* 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled* ½ cup granulated sugar ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, plus more if desired

• Line a 12 cup standard cupcake pan with cupcake liners. • In a medium bowl, whisk together the almond flour, baking powder, and salt. • In a separate large bowl, stir together the almond butter, almond milk, egg, vanilla extract, butter, and sugar until smooth. Add the dry ingredients and stir to combine. Fold in the chocolate chips. • Use an ice cream scoop or a spoon to evenly fill the cups with batter. • Bake at 375°F until cooked through and a toothpick inserted into the center yields a few moist crumbs, about 16 to 18 minutes. Let cool slightly in pan, about 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.

(for two sandwiches) 4 slices cinnamon raisin bread 4 tablespoons Barney Butter Cocoa + Coconut Almond Butter 2 tablespoons mascarpone 4 tablespoons margarine or butter

INSTRUCTIONS • Spread almond butter on two slices of bread. • Spread mascarpone evenly on remaining two slices of bread. • Close sandwiches and spread butter/margarine on one side of the sandwich. • Heat a skillet over medium heat. • When skillet is hot, add sandwiches butter side down. • While sandwiches are cooking, butter side that is not cooking. • Cook sandwiches for 3 minutes, or until golden brown, then flip sandwiches and cook other side. • Slice and enjoy!

ASIAN NOODLE SALAD WITH ALMOND BUTTER DRESSING INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

8 ounces Lo Mein noodles 1 cup shredded purple cabbage 1 cup matchstick carrots 1 cup shelled frozen edamame, steamed ¼ cup sliced scallions

• Cook Lo Mein noodles according to package directions. • Combine cabbage, carrots, edamame, and scallions in a large bowl and mix together. • While noodles are cooking, combine almond butter, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, and ground ginger in a liquid measuring cup and whisk together with a fork. • When noodles are finished, drain them. • Place noodles atop salad ingredients and mix together with tongs. • Pour dressing over salad and mix well. • Top with preferred toppings and enjoy!

NO BAKING REQUIRED

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

1 box Rice Chex™ cereal 1 ½ cups chocolate chips 1 cup Barney Butter Smooth Almond Butter 1 cup powdered sugar

• Pour cereal into a large bowl. • Pour chocolate chips into a separate medium-size bowl. Microwave for 20 seconds, then stir with a fork. Continue microwaving at 15-second intervals, stirring in between, until chocolate is fully melted. • Add almond butter to melted chocolate and stir until melted and well-combined. • Pour chocolate almond butter mixture over cereal. Use tongs to mix together until cereal is fully coated. • Pour powdered sugar over cereal and use tongs to toss together until fully coated. • Let sit for about ten minutes to allow chocolate to set. • Store in a Ziploc® bag (room temperature is fine).

We are committed to our farmers and their families, whose lives revolve around the farming of palm oil. We are working diligently with these families to source sustainable oils and lead the charge in product transparency. We know everyone is different, which is why we support the Paleo diet by showcasing both 100% Paleo and Paleo Friendly certifications on our products. Our facility is certified kosher. The U Kosher seal of approval is one you can trust for its authenticity in the Kosher community. Our products are Certified Vegan. This means that a third-party certifier has verified that we do not use animal products in those flavors. We do use Honey (only in our Honey + Flax flavor) which comes from sustainable honey farmers. No one wants BPA plastic touching their food. (Bisphenol-A, an estrogen-imitating chemical is used in reusable plastic products).
