Chateau wicker settings or the very popular Hamilton five, seven or nine piece setting. Come in and have a look at the new charcoal grill barbecue, pizza oven or charcoal spit roasters. You will be amazed with the new technology in outdoor cooking with the Charbroil Infra-Red barbecue range. These grills limit the hot air flow and use natural radiant heat to cook and not the conventional hot air process to cook food. This cooks the food without drying, locking in natural juices and flavours.

INTERIOR decorator Cate Wildman has a long standing passion for design and home decoration. That enthusiasm prompted Cate to start Wild Interiors in 2008. “I believe that an interior decorator is not just for the wealthy with big homes but should be available to anyone,” Cate said. “Whether redecorating or renovating an existing home or building a new home, an interior decorator can help.” After obtaining a Certificate IV in Arts (Interior Decoration)

and Diploma of Arts (Interior Decoration and Design), Cate spent time working in the commercial furniture arena, designing custom furniture to meet the needs of people who worked in these spaces. During this time her desire to work with people in their own homes was not being met. 2011 has brought a huge change with the move for Cate and her family back to the Barossa Valley where she grew up. “My business has followed us on this journey. “For flexibility in design and

budget requirements, my fees are charged at a set fee for my design services per room. “If you need more help than just a design scheme, I charge a separate fee for each individual service, such as escorted shopping and sourcing of furniture, curtains or blinds, rugs and decorator items. “If you are a DIY enthusiast or would like to take control of the work yourself hiring your own professional labour or just need a bit of help with paint selection, furnishing ideas and room layout, then my service is perfect for you.”

SpringHOME IMPROVEMENTS New local alliance for your security ICONIC SA brand RAA, have recently joined with Kapunda firm KBL Security to provide customers with 24-hour monitoring and alarm response services. The alliance is in line with RAA’s strategic goal to provide better services to regional and country customers says Neil McLean, senior manager, RAA Secure Services. “Our Barossa customers can now enjoy the benefits of monitoring and emergency response from our centre in Mile End, one of the most secure sites in Australia, coupled with KBL’s 24/7 local alarm response,” Mr McLean said. “The provision of security services requires high standards of delivery and trust - qualities that are paramount for both RAA and KBL Security.” Matthew Bouveng, co-owner of KBL has been in security for 29 years and his parents Robyn and Phil Bouveng started KBL in 1995. He says the alliance with RAA means he now offers more customers a complete security package. “Country properties can be vulnerable to theft because of remoteness,” Mr Bouveng said. “We have a strong relationship with the local police force in all the areas that we service, and are proud to be the only alarm response company providing 24 hour support in the region.”

admin.barossaherald@ruralpress.com

RAA and KBL’s top spring cleaning security tips: • Trim hedges and bushes so they are well clear of doors and windows - they provide a great hiding place for thieves and can also present a fire hazard. • While cleaning gutters and dusting winter cobwebs, check the security of the doors and windows. Main doors should have dead-bolts as a minimum, and all accessible windows should be able to be secured. • Items stored in sheds or garages are easy targets and something as simple as a large padlock can deter would-be thieves. Alarm systems can be extended to include them. • If you have home security, make sure security stickers are visible. Just ask your security company if you need more. • Sensor lights are great for summer barbecues and can also act as a deterrent for thieves. • Clean your yard of all implements that could be used to break into your home, or as a weapon including brooms, shovels, tools and ladders. • When you’re cleaning outside, take a look through the windows and if you can see any valuables, make a note to move them. • Change the batteries in your smoke alarm and make sure you revisit your fire plan. Security sales enquiries and payments can be made at RAA’s Gawler office or by phoning 8202 4695.

ALLIANCE: Matthew Bouveng from KBL Security has joined with iconic SA firm, the RAA.
