REFLECTION/CRITICS
The project, aimed at creating the Fluid Space community center, is driven by the vision of making a positive and enduring impact on the nearby community. The initiative "City Connects" seeks to establish a captivating center in the city by repurposing an underutilized location in the city center, highlighting the vital role of architecture and urban planning in shaping society.
A key critique of the project was that the design was not effectively conveyed through drawings alone, but instead required a walkthrough to fully grasp its intentions. While the overall sentiment towards the project was positive, there was a suggestion to pay greater attention to the smallest details.
In terms of planning, it was recommended to minimize construction and prioritize inclusivity and fluidity throughout the space, which were the central themes. Specific areas such as the cafeteria and future lab were mentioned as potential spaces for greater inclusivity. The emphasis was on allowing people to have flexibility in using their own space.
The concept of integrating a water body into the project was highly praised, as it added a unique and intriguing element. The reflection highlighted the entire building being reflected in the water created an engaging visual effect.
In conclusion, the critical reflection of the project acknowledged its positive aspects while providing valuable feedback for improvement. The focus on attention to detail, inclusivity, fluidity, and the use of vibrant colors could further enhance the overall experience of the Fluid Space community center.
