Read To Feed Summer Library Club 2014 for Adults and Young Adults June 2 – August 15

Sign up at balibrary.org

Indulge your love of reading while helping our community: join the Read To Feed Summer Library Club. Read To Feed challenges adults and young adults to read more than 1,500 books this summer. If the goal is met, select Barrington businesses will donate a portion of one day’s proceeds to help feed the hungry. See the full list of businesses and dates on page two of Check It Out.

Log in the books and audiobooks you read so we meet our goal of 1,500+ books. Please eat or shop at our participating businesses on their selected day, too. Visit the library to pick up an informational booklet with dates, times, and details you will need (some require a donation voucher), and some thank you gifts: a free book, chocolate, and Ravinia lawn tickets, while supplies last.

All proceeds benefit the Barrington Township Food Pantry and the Cuba Township Food Pantry.

But wait – there’s more: semi-monthly drawings and a grand prize of a Google Nexus tablet. To be eligible, just read six or more titles.

Everyone can make a donation: all summer long, look for (Spare) Change For the Better collection jars in the library. All donations will go to the two local food pantries.
