CHARACTER DESIGN

THE QUEEN This is a project I started to get out my comfort zone. I worked with it has on mind to experiment with other painting methods; using new textures, Photoshop and Clipstudio techniques approach a fastest and more realistic rendering. Also, I tried different colour palettes to communicate this Queen status and personality.

01 DEIMOS Y FOBOS These are ones of the main characters of the story I am still developing to adapt it into a comic. Their main shapes and expressions have been based into real animals such as Fobos being related to a dog; but always having in mind of they can express their body language through the shapes of clouds.

01 SEYKA She is the main character in my comic project that is still in development. I wanted to explore different cultures for her final designs. I ended up mixing up Japanese and Victorian aesthetic and creating different outfits for using them through the comic story.

01 U’LICAN

He is part of the main group of the comic project. I wanted to develop a human and animal at the same time. I am exploring different aesthetics, trying to balance a northern style with the Japaneses culture that is going to be the main theme.

CONCEPT ART

ARTFORGE: REALMS OF ETERNITY All the following concept art was created for the game: “Realms of Eternity” by Artforge. They needed to achive a deep and obscure fantasy theme based on the games “Darksiders”. I worked on the architecture, from general bases and buildings to details such as wall textures, gems and writings on walls.

02 NETFLIX: LUNCH PACK Last year Netflix launched a challenge to get an intership in America; and I got in during the earlier stages for the selections. Unfortunately the project didn’t reach Europe, but eh! it was so fun to participate. I based my idea in what a zombie would eat during lunch and how cool its lunch box would be.

ILLUSTRATION

Image: Angry mood. Explored this bold expression and the face angles.

Image: Into the woods. A full illustration, which helped me to work with general composition, background and lighting; while practicing with a particular colour palette.

03 Images: Godzilla (left), The weaver and the void (right, for Artforge games). These two images had been created in order to be printed, the one in the left as a full color print and the other one was created as part of a series for Artforge as they are working on their own Lore’s book to be printed and sold.

03

Image: H.P. Lovecraft. I have always loved Lovecraft and his style. So this is a tribute to his work; inspired by his dark and allien stories. Similar to the previous image from Artforge, I spent lot of time working on the little details such as the drawing hatching around the tentacles.

03

Image: Inside voices. Sometimes I like to explore emotions or moods with illustrations. During the lockdowns of the pandemic I wanted to illustrate how this events might affect our lives. This was also helpful to work an abstract idea such as a feeling into something visual, with its own shapes, colours even the line treatment was really important to express these concepts.

04 OTTI´S INVENTORY Here it’s a UI menu made all on Illustrator and fully vectorised (except the inventory assets as they are handmade). It was adapted to HD phone screens, previously working with a wireframe to define the overall distribution.
