Someone murders a CERN scientist, steals a canister of antimatter, a highly explosive substance, and intends to detonate it in Vatican City, using science to annihilate religion and finally achieve revenge. To make the matters even worse, 4 Preferiti (candidates for the Papal seat which was recently vacated) went missing. Langdon, along with the scientist victim's daughter Vittoria Vetra, is desperately trying to save the cardinals and above all, find the bomb. Their effort is assisted by the Camerlengo Carlo Ventresca and the Swiss Guard. You will have to find by yourself whether he succeeds and how will the story end. Both the book and the movie version are excellent, breathtaking and will suck you inside completely. Dan Brown has a rare gift of creating modern and very catchy stories; no wonders he is one of the best selling authors of the 21st century. I've always been into comparing science and religion and although I'm definitely an Atheist, such stories show the important of both human branches and why should they at least go along if they can't agree with each other.
