ABOUT An M.Sc architect specialized in restoration and transformation projects. I graduated in Architecture from the Bahcesehir University, Turkey, in 2015 and, I have a Post-Graduate “Master in Building Architecture” from the Politecnico di Milano, Italy. I specialized in the Restoration and Transformation of Complex Constructions with a thesis “SENSE OF TRACES” – a proposal of landscape regeneration and transformation project for Società Umanitaria. It offers landscape regeneration according to the palimpsest identity of the site and a transformation project together with construction technologies, restoration techniques, and sustainability. Between 2017 and 2019, I worked as an architect in Arch. Praderio office in Milan, mainly in the field of residential projects. Lately, I worked as an architect in Giuseppe Tortato Architetti in Milan. I have experienced in factory, hotel and residential projects. And, since 2015, I have been working as a freelance architect, mainly in the field of restoration and interior projects based in Paris, London, and Istanbul. Based on my education and work experience, my work is characterized by the importance of the concept and details for refining design ideas to arrive at a solution that is architecturally, socially, and intellectually coherent. My main approach is to design that answers contemporary problems concurrently, considers the historical identity, and works in harmony with the environment regarding the requirements of sustainability, functionality, and durability. Except for the practical part of the architecture, I am interested in architectural criticism. I am publishing ideas on my blog. Also, I am a writer on a digital platform called Architectuul to share my researches on buildings and architects.

SENSE OF TRACES LANDSCAPE REGENARATION & RESTORATION PROJECT Location : Milan | Italy Date: 2020 Typology: Restoration

The Società Umanitaria is a city block. San Barnaba Street is one of the oldest axes of Milan that connects the Ca’ Granda and Rotonda Della Baseana. The site is a synthesis complex with the 15th Century Cloister System of the classic era and Romano’s buildings of the modern era. The project proposes a landscape regeneration and interventions in the first cloister system. The new landscape aims to define new public spaces for each building. The landscape design is a composition of three grid systems; old axis from Ca` Granda to Rotonda Della Baseana, old cloister system`s axis, and Romano`s buildings axis. The axis system follows Doxiadis methodology. The landscape regeneration is formed by tracing the building’s basement axis and reflecting the urban axis to the site. The site provides a new experience to the visitors through different paths of approaching to the build-ings. The visitors are contemporary flaneurs who explore the lot through landscape scenes. The interventions at the cloister system aim to open the ground floor to the public entirely and to privatize the first floor, to define new entrances according to public functions, and finally to define the axis through continuity. The intervention aims to improve the performance of the building, to elongate its maintenance, and to emphasize the function as the entrance cloister which introduces the site experience to the visitors.

STAZIONE SEXTUS URBAN REGENERATION & INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT Location : Milan | Italy Date: 2018 Typology: Infrastructure

Sesto San Giovanni is a region of Milan. The government planned an M1 line extension and Renzo Piano’s urban project for this area. The site integrates two different contextual zones therein; the project is a bridge between the zones. The urban analysis showed that there is a need for a public square and a shelter that will determine this square and a green area that can transform into a public garden. The project is a combination of four elements; canopy as an urban shelter, a train station that provides a daily transportation facility, a bridge that is a pedestrian access between parts of Sesto, and canopies of the platform that supply a shadow to people. For the design process, Tessenow’s column-tree metaphor is used to create an urban canopy. Under this canopy, the program is placed. The line pattern is used to solve the plan according to the program. Mies van der Rohe is taken as a reference to create this pattern.

ARHITECTURAL DESIGN STUDIO FOR COMPLEX CONSTRUCTION Professors: Giulio Barazzetta | Guido Zuliani | Mauro E. Giuliani

SITE PLAN

CONCEPT

Urban Canopy provides a defined area as public space. The round columns support the canopy, Tessenov’s tree-column metaphor is the main approach of the structure. Under the canopy, the program settles down as a free form.

TAKSIM URBAN DESIGN COMPETITION REGENERATION OF PUBLIC GARDEN & SQUARE Location : Istanbul | Turkey Date: 2020 Typology: Urban Design

The competition that is organized by the Municipality of Istanbul, aims to design Gezi Park and Taksim Square. Taksim Square is different from all other squares in terms of political and social meaning, dimensions, and facilities. After, we completed an extensive analysis of the existing site to identify the current physical problems and focus primarily on solving and improving those problems. In our approach, our primary goal was the sustainability of this urban development project. We have strived to minimize the construction and carbon emission effect of the project by keeping the existing situation and furniture wherever we can. We have aimed to improve the public space while employing a minimal design proposal.

FOREST PAVILION PARAMETRIC DESIGN PROJECTS Date: 2020 Typology: Pavilion This project is a case study to produce parametric design from mathematical equations. According to Lindenmayer’s original L-system for modelling the growth of algae, L-System and Turtle command created this tree shape. The semi-transparent circles are placed at the end points of the branches as a resemblance of a leaf. The main rule of the equation is (A -> AB), (B -> A)
