District Contracting was founded in 2009 to primarily provide full service general construction and design-build construction services. Our aim is to provide best practices, value and performance for every project we undertake. We strive to perform on-time and under-budget 100% of the time. Located in the Nation’s Capital, District Contracting is well positioned to perform work both regionally and throughout the Mid Atlantic region. After 3 successful years and after more than 100 projects, District Contracting was awarded certification in the U.S. Small Business Administration 8(a) Business Development program in November 2012. District Contracting has grown from several employees to more than a dozen employees. Our recent move to new offices in December 2014 is indicative of our intent to grow beyond our current level.

District Contracting Group has a network of architects ready to partner for any potential design/build project. The design/build delivery system minimizes the overall project schedule by offering congruent design and construction services. This also allows the client to contract with one cohesive design/build team, which frees the client from technical involvement throughout the project. This is often the most cost effective route, as value engineering can be
seamlessly integrated into construction with minimal schedule impact. It also reduces the need for client-side construction managers. District Contracting Group is adept at matching our prospective client to one of our architect partners by assessing the intricacies of the project and the client-specific needs so as to provide the best match and value.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
District Contracting Group understands that meeting client’s deadlines is one of the most significant aspects of overall project success. We incorporate not only construction activities into the master project schedule, but also always account for preconstruction activities. Preconstruction factors often drive the overall schedule, therefore we show accurate durations for permit procurement, submittal review and approvals, and material lead times. We also incorporate client driven timelines, such as furniture procurement, IT coordination, or any other owner vendors. We strive to provide a comprehensive schedule that accounts for all facets of the project so as to minimize any unanticipated delays.
