Synopsis Sinopsis

Amaia (Laia Costa) has just become a mother and realizes that she doesn't really know how to be one. When his partner was absent for work for a few weeks, he decided to return to his parents' house, in a beautiful coastal town in the Basque Country and thus share the responsibility of taking care of his baby.

What Amaia does not know is that, although she is now a mother, she will not stop being a daughter.

Amaia (Laia Costa) acaba de ser madre y se da cuenta de que no sabe muy bien cómo serlo. Al ausentarse su pareja por trabajo unas semanas, decide volver a casa de sus padres, en un bonito pueblo costero del País Vasco y así compartir la responsabilidad de cuidar a su bebé.

Lo que no sabe Amaia es que, aunque ahora sea madre, no dejará de ser hija.

“Cinco lobitos” is my first film, a dream come true. And that which I dreamed big. I dreamed of making a first film of myself, personal.

I dreamed of telling a story that talked about an imperfect family and the difficulty in expressing affections to those we most want. I dreamed of doing this accompanied by producers who believed in what we did.

And I even dreamed that the audience would make it their own. Fulfilling a dream is unusual and magical, as if life gives you something, like being happy and knowing it.”

“Cinco lobitos” es mi primera película, un sueño hecho realidad. Y eso que yo soñaba grande. Soñaba con hacer una primera película mía, personal.

Soñaba con contar una historia que hablara de una familia imperfecta y de la dificultad para expresar los afectos a aquellos que más queremos.

Soñaba con hacer esto acompañada por unos productores que creyeran en lo que haciamos. E incluso soñaba con que el público la haría suya. Cumplir un sueño es inusual y mágico, como si la vida te regalara algo, como ser feliz y saberlo.”
