Child Protection Policy

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a ticket buying adult at all festival events unless otherwise stated. Children under 2 do not require a ticket, unless otherwise stated. Parents/carers are responsible for their children at all times.

Screenings

We’ve teamed up with our friends at The Little Theatre Cinema to present Toddler Time screenings every weekday, featuring our favourite Julia Donaldson shorts! Tickets are £3.30* for children, free for accompanying adults. Adults are only admitted if accompanying a child. Bring the whole family along for our special film screenings of Babe and How To Train Your Dragon – tickets £6* for adults and children.

Workshops

Children aged 8 or older can be dropped off at workshops. You will need to sign them in and leave a contact number. If you need to support your child at the workshop, please select a free 8+ Parent Ticket at the checkout. If your child is under 8 you will need to stay with them at the workshop, please select a free Under 8 Parent Ticket at the checkout.

Filming and photography

Some events or shows may be filmed or photographed, please let a member of staff know at the event if you do not wish to be filmed or photographed.

Free tickets

We want to support as many children as we can to access our festival and to share the joy of reading. We have a limited number of free tickets available for families and schools. If you are a family who would benefit from these tickets please get in touch: info@bathfestivals.org.uk

If you are a B&NES school and would like to request free tickets please email education@bathfestivals.org.uk

We are also working with Tickets for Good and their Affordable Tickets Project, enabling anyone who’s received a Cost of Living payment from the UK Government in the past 6 months at the time of verification to access free and affordably-priced tickets.

If you would like to support others to access free tickets you can donate via our Share the Story scheme. Share the Story allows you to donate when purchasing your tickets and we use your donations to purchase tickets and contribute to travel expenses for schools and families.
