President & CEO | Battelle for Kids I am very pleased to share our 2021 Annual Report. This is a special year because it’s our 20th anniversary! We are very proud of our impact and innovation over the years, and we are pleased to have had wonderful opportunities to collaborate with innovative school systems and passionate education leaders across the country.

After a very challenging 2020, we were hopeful that school systems across the country would be able to focus on the future of their school systems using an inspiring vision for moving education forward.

When I became President & CEO in 2017, I didn’t imagine how truly satisfying and humbling it would be to mobilize the tremendous capabilities of this national, not-for-profit organization. At the same time, as a veteran educator of almost thirty-five years, I never experienced, nor witnessed, the magnitude of change and complexity that education leaders are facing today. I am inspired by the resilience and dedication on display!

BFK is constantly adapting to respond to the everchanging needs of school systems. I am grateful for the BFK team and how they are advancing our mission. None of this would be possible without the unwavering support and leadership from our Board of Directors.

We are excited and hopeful about our future— collaborating with school systems to keep the focus on reimagining education and bringing communities together to discuss the hopes, dreams, and aspirations we have for every student.

Now is the time to lead with an aspirational vision for tomorrow.
