Apple’s iPad 2 is considered as the most popular tablet device in the market to date and with good reason. This is because of the powerful iOS software it has under as well as the simple yet sleek design it sports. Almost all iPad 2 users could attest that they could almost do anything with their iPad 2 tablet like checking their e-mails, browsing the net, editing photos or movies, etc. Battery life for iPad 2 is also considered as excellent because it could last up to 10 hours of usage.

apps, ergonomic design, PlayStation certification for mobile gaming, DLNA video and music streaming, and an integrated IR universal remote control. Sony’s track record in industrial design, hardware engineering, gaming, and media makes it the best possible candidate to challenge Apple’s iPad. A year and a half after Apple’s tablet debut, Sony is striking back with an Android 3.2 slate that is bound to turn heads and win some fans.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (16GB) Sleek, sexy, and light, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 gets as close to the iPad 2 as any Android tablet before it.
Another tablet that shoppers should consider is the Amazon Kindle Fire. The Amazon Kindle Fire is designed to be an e-reader but it could also function as any other high-powered tablet in the market. It houses Google’s Android 2.3 OS and has a dual-core processor. It also has a direct link into Amazon’s media library which provides a wide selection of music, movies, books, etc. for all users.
Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet With more storage and a growing app store, the Nook Tablet is a worthy–albeit slightly more expensive–competitor to the Kindle Fire. Price: $249.00

Very good This Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the latest offering from Samsung. It utilizes Android 3.0 Honeycomb as its OS and a dual core 1GHz processor. This could be a great alternative for Apple’s iPad 2 considering that is has a lower price if compared to iPad 2. It also houses a WXGA (1280×800) display resolution and is less bulky if compared to other tablets.
The Nook tablet is Barnes and Nobles version of the Amazon Kindle. Despite the head-to-head competition, the Nook tablet actually offers a lot for potential buyers. The e-reader feature for the Nook tablet could store millions of book titles and it could also be used for multimedia purposes. It has 16GB of storage as well as 11.5 hours of battery life for e-reading.
