It was a solemn occasion at Govern ment House in Regina on Saturday, as the province of Saskatchewan formally pro claimed King Charles III as their sover eign. The accession proclamation ceremony was attended by Premier Scott Moe, Lieu tenant-Governor Russ Mirasty and other dignitaries including members of the Ex ecutive Council.
During the ceremony, Premier Scott Moe formally advised Lt.-Governor Mirasty, as His Majesty’s Representative in the province, to issue a statement under the Great Seal of the Province of Saskatchewan announcing the death of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and the accession of His Majesty King Charles III.Mirasty signed the proclamation docu ment, and the gathering stood to sing God Save the King. It was followed up by a toast to the new King.
Farewell to Elizabeth II, Charles III ascends to the throne
For those taking part in and organizing the ceremony, it was very much a new ex perience. Most everyone in the room hadn’t been born the last time a new mon arch was proclaimed in 1952. But it was nevertheless a seamless transition from one monarch to another.

It was one of a number of accession activities that took place that day around the Commonwealth. Earlier that day, the new King was proclaimed by the Acces sion Council in London. In Canada, Gov ernor-General Mary Simon presided over a meeting of the King’s Privy Council for Canada, whereby the accession was pro claimed. That would be followed by accession ceremonies including in Saskatchewan.
“Number one, it’s historic,” Mirasty said to reporters. “It’s significant because it’s a demonstration of the continuity of our Constitutional Monarchy continues but under a King. So I think that’s the im portant aspect of maintaining that.”
The fact it had been so long since the last time a new Sovereign took over “makes it significant as well,” said Mi rasty. “For me as well, as a Queen’s repre sentative but now a King’s representative, it doesn’t change what I do but it changes who I Forrepresent.”Mirastyit marks a significant mile stone. Carry forward largess into the next tax year; use for operating the government of Saskatch ewan. Having money carried forward from previous year would reduce need for high-level taxation. Reduce provincial tax levied on your citizens for a year.
• (Dividend) With a reduced need for a given amount of money, reduce the provincial sales tax a proportional amount for one year.
Those are just some of the intelligent actions a busi nessperson would consider.
Now let’s look at this matter from the sitting members (called members of the legislature) point of view. In this case it’s so obvious what the member has in mind. How can we use this windfall to improve our chances of get ting re-elected? When a government handout is tied to age 18 and beyond, they are blatantly buying your next vote. The liberal socialist tinge has permeated through the conservative ranks. Remember the marriage that created the Sask. Party, now masquerading as a businessfriendly soiree but operating like the socialists they banded together to throw out of power to give us a better governmental approach.

A distance of one swather width or one seeder pass adjacent to field margins may be a good space to consider fall planting of a perennial for age. In many cases, this serves as a buffer against weedy incursion into fields as well as valuable location for overwintering benefi cial insects and pollinators. Weaving between power poles could be avoided and equipment overlap can be decreased while serving as a valuable overwinter ing location for beneficial insects. If you need to get rid of the perennial cover because of weed incur sion, consider doing 1/3 or 2/3 every year to maintain some habitat all the time.
If you have a commercial beekeeper with a bee yard in or adjacent to your field, you may see a yield in crease on heavily pollina tor dependent crops like buckwheat and faba beans. HART: Dorothy Mae Hart passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 20, 2022 in her 94th year. She is survived by her five children, Donna Hart Arcangeli (Giuseppe Arcangeli) of Montecarlo, Italy; Karen Hart Culbertson (Stephen Culbertson) of Davidson, North Carolina; Randy Hart of Hastings, Ontario; Sandra Hart of Pickering, Ontario; and Wendy Hart Penner (Donald Penner) of Vernon, British Columbia; and three siblings Evelyn Suey, Gail Pitt and Albert Morris; as well as eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Born on September 22, 1928 during the Great Depression and raised in the prairie village of Paynton, Saskatchewan, Mae was the sixth of thirteen children of the late Louis and Rachel (née Barry) Morris. In her mid-teens, Mae left Paynton for Saskatoon, where she studied hair-dressing. Always outgoing and adventurous, she met her future husband on a city ice-skating rink. Al, a young returning RCAF veteran of the European theatre was completing high school credits prior to pursuing a university degree. They were married in 1947 while Al was still in school. Their marriage would last six and a half decades; a partnership worthy of a congratulatory message from the Queen on their 60th anniversary. With Al’s engineering degree and a job offer with Atomic Energy of Canada (AECL) in hand, Mae and Al and their first child, Donna, left Saskatchewan to make the family’s first big move to Deep River, Ontario. Over the next thirty years Mae had her hands full with the arrival of four more children and six subsequent new postings before Al’s 1981 retirement. The empty nest didn’t slow them down much, with friends and family to visit in Canada, England, the US and Italy, there was always a “plan” in the making. Mae had loved going to school in her youth, and regularly sought out experiences in which she could learn. She was always up for the challenge of a new place to live and new friends to make. She loved to laugh, to tease, and to bring the family together for gatherings, good food and good stories. She encouraged her children to embrace different challenges -- especially travel -- saying “the world is your classroom.” Mae and Al’s first thought was always in caring and providing for the family. Together they sought to instill in their children good common sense, an understanding of the value of hard work and the joy of loyalty to family -- all taught with a firm hand, humour and dedication. The family is forever in debt to our sister Sandra for her tireless support, constant and unfailing care, companionship and supreme advocacy for our mother during these last difficult years as Mae’s life slipped into the depths of Dementia. There are no words to express our appreciation for the immensity of Sandra’s gift to all of us. A private cremation (specifically, aquamation) has taken place and her ashes will be interred during the early autumn of 2022 in the Humboldt Public Cemetery, alongside her husband, Albert Edward Hart. If so desired, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Condolences may be made online at www.newcastlefuneralhome.com

salt water for a sore throat.
As people understood that salt was important and helpful, Jesus stressed that his disciples, as the light of the world, would be beneficial as long as they shone clearly like a city on a hill. His disciples must give light before men. People must see their good deeds and, as a result of
of friendship. Sometimes it signified permanence, loyalty, durability, fidelity, value and purification. Therefore, it is unsurprising that Jesus references salt concerning his disciples and followers.
In Matthew 5:13-15, Jesus tells his disciples that they are the salt of
the Earth. However, He cautions them that salt can lose its saltiness, become worthless and be thrown out. Salt sometimes at the time of Jesus did become tasteless and useless, and then it was thrown on paths and streets to be trampled by walkers.

A good worker is ready for the boss to judge his work performance, but are we prepared for God’s final judgment for each of us?
When I was young, it was common to refer to someone as worth their salt.I grew up on a farm and, our community, prized hard workers. Being lazy or not putting all you had into your work was not being worth your salt. It was a reputation no one wanted. One should be worth their pay and recognized as a good worker or employee.

their acts, praise God the Father.Jesus often attracted large crowds of people travelling with him and his disciples. In Luke 14:25-35, Jesus tells the group following him what it means to be worth their salt as one of His disciples. “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters – yes, even his own life – he cannot be my disciple. And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. Any of you who does not give up everything, cannot be my disciple. Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty
As there is a high cost to being a good worker and employee, there is a total cost of being a disciple of Jesus. Jesus said in Mark 8:36,38, “What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, The Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
