Moot Court Students are trained in Moot Courts through the design of a virtual criminal or civil lawsuit in which they represent the judiciary committee, the prosecution and defence, as well as the accused. A number of prominent judges in the Lebanese judicial bodies and professors of procedural Law at the Faculty supervise these Moot Courts. This leads to reducing the wide gap between academic legal studies and practice, enabling the students to link between the theoretical and practical side, and facilitating their integration in applied and professional life. Consequently, they obtain the qualifications which help them assume the proper position in the Bar, the prosecution office or the judiciary body.
Legal Clinic It provides a continuous training for the Faculty of Law students on applied legal issues. The Legal Clinic is a system that serves the community through students and academic staff who provide it with pro bono (free of charge) legal advice as a kind of community service.

Faculty of Architecture - Design & Built Environment
Dean's Message \
Faculty Guide Dean's Message page. 2
The Faculty of Architecture - Design & Built Environment, previously Faculty of Architectural Engineering, was founded in 1962 as the fourth faculty at BAU. Since commencement, it has played a key role in addressing and serving the needs of students from Lebanon and the entire Middle East. Over the past eight years, BAU has embedded a comprehensive structure of quality assurance procedures and systems crowned by the accomplishment of an unconditioned Validation by the RIBA since 2010, which was selected as the tool to ensure such quality. Thus, the Faculty emerged as the only validated Architectural program in Lebanon that graduates students to be validated by RIBA in addition to the Lebanese accredited degree. To enrich the learning experiences of our students we are establishing a meaningful, diverse and interacting community of exceptional academic staff with national and international backgrounds, developing a strategic relationship with a targeted set of peer institutions in Europe and Middle East for students and faculty exchange and collaboration.

The Faculty comprises a number of academic facilities that are open to students:
Library The Faculty of Pharmacy Library supports all the programs. Its collection consists of (900) Books and (9000) E-books, (20) Multimedia, (55) Theses and Dissertations. In addition to AccessPharmacy, Micromedex, Scifinder Databases.
Drug Quality Control (DQC) Lab The Faculty continues to provide the service of drugs and pharmaceutical analysis and validation before they enter into the Lebanese market. This service is provided by the “Drug Analysis” unit at the Faculty which is certified by the Lebanese Ministry of Health and works under the supervision of the University’s Consultation Center.
Pharmacy Practice Lab It is a multipurpose laboratory facility, with videotaping and presentation technology throughout. It features a pharmacy with four workstations and a classroom area. Pharmacy students learn patient care provision, drug dispensing, drug information and patient counseling techniques. Prominent display cabinets house contemporary drug product inventory. The Lab is also used to teach communication skills, prescription processing and the proper techniques for administration of medication.
Animal House An Animal house facility is located at the 12th floor in Hariri Building. It is made of durable material and has adequate space to facilitate free movement of personnel and animals. Temperature, humidity, ventilation, and lighting are controlled to meet the biological needs of the animals. Absorbent bedding is removed and replaced as often as necessary to keep the animals clean and dry. The Faculty animal house supplies laboratory animals to support research in different faculties and universities in Lebanon.
Continuing Education The Faculty offers continuing education for the Lebanese pharmacists in collaboration with the Lebanese Order of Pharmacists.
Computer Lab A Computer Lab has been established at the Faculty, and it encompasses 15 computers with simulation programs for experiments that are conducted in the different scientific departments. Students have also been trained in some parts of the Pharmacology course of the fourth level. Students from different levels can also use these computers to conduct an internet search and to accomplish their assignments. Students from other faculties in the Medical Group have free access to use these computers when available.

The Faculty vision is to provide Innovation and Excellence in medical education and research that responds to the community needs and conforms with the international standards of the 21st century. We are committed to help students pursue their academic and life goals by promoting an environment that fosters academic success and professional development. We are convinced that the modern medical graduate does not simply need to recall facts but instead he needs to access, evaluate, and use new information. Our curriculum encourages self-learning and continuous education through a student centered integrated strategy. We believe that our role is to prepare students to shape the future. Hence, our graduate must acquire the habit and the discipline to organize information systematically, to develop concepts, and to apply them. Thus, the most valuable tool for tomorrow is “the ability to think critically and creatively.
