GRAFENWOEHR, Germany - Since May, the Culture and Military Museum is back from the lockdown with new highlights. "We want to offer the visitors as much as possible and have set up a special exhibition on Martin Luther King Jr. and a new, additional exhibition room on Elvis Presley," said Wilhelm Buchfelder, museum director. The special exhibition is on loan from the German-American Institute in Nuremberg and features the civil rights movement around Martin Luther King Jr. The priest fought for equality for African-Americans in the USA in the 1950s and 60s and became world famous with his legendary speech "I have a dream." There is a special treat for Elvis fans. A new collection of rare exhibits by Elvis expert Wolfgang Houschka has been supplementing the permanent exhibition in the museum since January. In the new room, thanks to the opulent design, you can take a deep dive into the world of rock 'n' roll. Also worth seeing is the permanent exhibition on the history of the city and the military training area spanning more than 1,000 square meters. The regular opening times from Tuesday to Thursday and on Sunday from 2- 5 p.m. apply.
