WELCOME TO THE WORLD'S MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACHES.

We call it our own little piece of paradise and you can too! You’ll find our residents are welcoming to newcomers and willing to share an abundance of recreational, cultural, educational and business opportunities in this great place we call home.

Located in Northwest Florida, Bay County is centered between Pensacola and Tallahassee, one hundred miles from either destination. The county is comprised of seven municipalities, each with their own mayor/commissioner form of government. They include Panama City, Panama City Beach, Lynn Haven, Springfield, Mexico Beach, Callaway and Parker. The Bay County Commission governs the unincorporated areas of the community.

We are home to Tyndall Air Force Base and Naval Support Activity, Port Panama City, Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP), Gulf Coast State College, Florida State University Panama City Campus, a public-school system, an abundance of charter academies and so much more!

Bay County is a great place to do business, too! We continue to attract new industries, back office operations/call centers, nationally affiliated marine test centers and more. We are certainly on the map with the aviation industry as ECP continues to serve as an attraction. In addition, we are home to the Eastern Shipbuilding Group, which is one of the county’s largest private sector employers with over 1,800 employees.

Our community is especially proud of our number one industry, tourism. You will find over 27 miles of sugar white, sandy beaches to enjoy, along with lots of things to see and do. But, if you’re not a saltwater person, fear not. We are surrounded with freshwater lakes, creeks and streams for fishing, kayaking and boating to enjoy our natural resources.

There is never a shortage of things to do in Bay County! Our community is alive with huge music festivals such as Gulf Coast Jam that attracts nationally renowned country music artists. From the streets of downtown Panama City hosting festivals/events to each community having their own parks filled with music on a weekly basis, to many other cultural arts events provided by the Bay Arts Alliance to 4th of July Celebrations and Mardi Gras events in St. Andrews and on Panama City Beach. Bay County is full of excitement and energy year round!

We continue to grow, and whether you are looking to visit or relocate, we know Bay County can meet your needs. Welcome to our beautiful community!

Sincerely,

Carol Roberts President/CEO, Bay County Chamber of Commerce

ROOTED IN COMMUNITY. NESTLED ALONG THE BAY. CONNECTED TO EVERYTHING THAT MATTERS.

Alongside more than five miles of bayfront shoreline in northwest Florida lies the perfect coastal community. A place where the best of nature meets the best of neighbors.
