There’s something magical about the coast and all the beauty to behold. The salt air and the sand beneath your feet while strolling on the beach with the scent of the water has a feel in and of itself.

Let’s bring those elements into your home. Even if you don’t live by the water, you can still capture that feeling of being there. You can transform any space into a coastal cottage with a few special touches. Coastal décor isn’t limited to one type of material; mixing and matching things such as sea glass, jute wicker, rattan, and driftwood can blend together any room seamlessly. Incorporating coast symbols and icons are a great way to brighten your space and embrace them. Such symbols are mermaids, starfish, seashells, anchors, fish, and sand.

Enhance whites with coastal shades of blue, corals, and greens. Use khaki and taupe to really bring in the wicker or hammock feeling as well.

Use all these colors with accent pillows, candles, table decorations, curtains, coastal pictures, throw rugs, and more to bring that beachy feel inside.
