Bayless Elementary School By Mr. Aaron Kohler - Elementary School Principal The end of the school year is always marked with celebrations and fun activities. This school year ended much more like the years prior to the pandemic. Field Day took place on May 13. The weather was surprisingly much cooler than the 90+ degree days we experienced earlier in the week. The last week of school kicked off on Monday with the Principal’s Challenge. Our students played dodge ball with Mr. Kohler, Dr. Middendorf, Dr. Whitten and Ms. Klocke. Our 5th Grade Farewell Bridging Ceremony took place on May 24 and was enjoyed by all. The “Bridging Ceremony” symbolizes our 5th grade students completing elementary school and embarking on their new journey at Bayless Junior High. While the walk across the bridge is symbolic, we want everyone to know that our students are well prepared for success at BJH. Did you know? Bayless Elementary School once again achieved the Gold Level Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) award. Over the past 10 years, Bayless Elementary has earned the award nine times.
