HONORS and THANKS SUSAN and SCOTT WILSON ’75
A FEW WORDS OF Thanks To the Baylor Family, Welcome to Celebrations 2021, Forever Red! Along with thousands of Baylor students, parents, teachers, and alumni, those words describe my life-long devotion to our school. The entire Wilson family will be forever grateful for all that Baylor has meant in our lives. Twelve years ago, I attended my first Celebrations as headmaster-elect. Susan and I had been around wonderful events at other schools for years, but Celebrations amazed us. Tonight, we attend as “retiring” headmaster and first lady of Baylor having attended five more Celebrations events, and we are equally awestruck by the scope, spirit, and impact of this event. We are also a little embarrassed by the kind attention paid to us because we know that Baylor is truly about our students and their teachers and coaches, and they are why we are here tonight! This evening, we have an opportunity to make our great school even better, and I invite you to celebrate with us. By celebrate, I mean have some fun and spend some money! After all, one year ago we were shut down under the grip of a pandemic, and tonight we are reveling in the fact that we have been in school all year and can come together as a school family! Finally, on behalf of the entire Baylor Family, I want to thank all our volunteers for giving so generously of their time and talents for this cause. While always an enormous undertaking, organizing and presenting this event during a pandemic has been an exercise of incredible effort, imagination, and faith! A special thanks to co-chairs Allison Edgmon Cromie ’90, Jenny Yates Stickley ’90, and Chip Howalt ’85. They’ve done their part, now let’s do ours. Raise those paddles for Baylor! Have a great evening, and GBR! Forever Red!
Scott Wilson ’75, Headmaster
WELCOME TO CELEBRATIONS ’21 FOREVER RED! We are thrilled to see this event take place on the banks of the Tennessee River, in what we know will prove to be the most successful Celebrations yet. The river provides a spectacular backdrop to celebrate Baylor and gather our community for the first time in over a year. The leadership of our Baylor community has allowed us to be here. We have watched the Celebrations team including staff, parents, alumni and friends work tirelessly over the last two years. To each of you, we say thank you. As the chairs of Scott Wilson’s final Celebrations as Headmaster, it is with deep gratitude and heartfelt appreciation that we honor Scott and Susan tonight. Thank you to each of our sponsors and all who are attending. As you raise your paddles don’t forget why we are FOREVER RED! Jenny, Chip, and Allison Celebrations ’21 Co-Chairs
Celebrations SPONSORS The Celebrations committee would like to thank our generous sponsors for underwriting the expenses of the event. This support is the cornerstone of our fundraising efforts for Celebrations, assuring the financial success of this wonderful biennial event.

Celebrations SPECIAL PROJECT
Preserving Baylor’s Impressive History Since 2009, Celebrations has featured a “special project” for guests to support on the evening of the auction. With the help of our generous donors, we were able to refurbish Miss Kitty’s Grille, make important dining hall and library improvements, and build a beautiful new outdoor pool. This year’s auction theme, FOREVER RED, points to the future. In doing so, we must also honor our past. For our special project this year, we are asking you to help us protect our school’s history and heritage by supporting the preservation and digitization of Baylor’s extensive collection of photos, videos, documents, sports hall of fame, and other historical assets. Your generous donation will enable us to: parents, alumni, the local community, and • Uncover, preserve, and share Baylor’s extraordinary history in modern, engaging a global online public. • Catalog the items, photographs, and ways. • Provide stories of Baylor’s heritage for current and prospective students and
documents in a cloud-based cataloging system.
