Biography Laurent Lenoir, Aliaxis’ new Chief Executive Officer After graduating as a Master in Life Sciences from the École Nationale Supérieure d'Agronomie de Montpellier in 1989, France national Laurent Lenoir (49) built a solid career in industry, having held various leading positions in France, Belgium, Malaysia, China and the US. Before joining Aliaxis, Laurent Lenoir was Chief Executive Officer at Taminco Corporation, a multinational chemical company with operations in the US, Europe and China. During this assignment, which started in 2010, Mr Lenoir professionalized and structured the company. In 2013, Mr Lenoir initiated what would turn out to be a successful IPO, listing Taminco on NYSE. Laurent Lenoir started his career in 1991 with UCB, a global biopharmaceutical player as Technical & Sales Manager Agrochemicals. From 1992 to 1999 Mr Lenoir held various positions in Belgium within UCB’s Agrochemical BU. In 2000, he became UCB’s Business Manager of Methylamines & Derivatives Asia, working from Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). In 2003, the methylamines and derivatives division was spun-off from UCB and sold to form Taminco. Between 2003 and 2006, Laurent Lenoir served as Taminco’s Director of Asia, Global Director of Feed Additives, and General Manager of Taminco CC Shanghai, China. From 2006 to 2007 Mr Lenoir served as an Integration Officer overseeing the Air Products acquisition in Allentown (US). Later on in 2007, Mr Lenoir moved back to Belgium to become Taminco’s Group Vice-President BU Methylamines & Derivatives and Regional President of Asia. Showing both the decisiveness and pragmatism that are crucial to prosper in complex and challenging market environments eventually paved the way for Mr Lenoir’s appointment to CEO of Taminco on 1 January 2010.
