The Results Are In... Composite Handling and Esthetics Evaluation To evaluate the handling and esthetics of GRADIA DIRECT compared to 5 other market-leading competitive brands of composite, GC America conducted an ON-SITE HANDS-ON EVALUATION at the GC America Logistics Center in Alsip, Illinois. 27 noted key opinion leaders from all over the United States were invited to a "FALL SUMMIT" in Chicago in October to disDuring the FALL SUMMIT, the cuss GRADIA DIRECT Composite and increase and share following "hands-on" evaluation knowledge about glass ionomers. took place. Each doctor went into the training lab and received unmarked "compules / Unitips" samples of 6 composite systems. They also received a model with 6 veneer preps and 6 Class I preps cut into it. The participants tried the tested materials by completing restorations on the prepared model. All compules / unitips were "UNIDENTIFIABLE by brand" and all were shade A2. Each doctor evaluated the 6 materials (samples A through F) for handling and esthetic performance and responded to the survey questions to follow. Many of the participants said it was the first time they ever
heard of a company doing such an evaluation – putting their product on the line, live in front of over two dozen high profile clinicians.
The Results: The following graphs show the results of that evaluation.
The response was exciting, particularly because the results were presented right after completion of the evaluation.
GRADIA DIRECT was the smoothest composite of all.
As you can see from their answers, Gradia Direct extrudes as easily as any of the top 4 brands.
The noteworthy group clearly felt that GRADIA DIRECT was the most fluid material. No one rated GRADIA DIRECT as stiff.

Less than 3 responses separated Gradia Direct from the top two brands.
Evaluators rated GRADIA DIRECT as the top product for translucency.

GRADIA DIRECT was clearly the easiest material to work with. In fact, no one found GRADIA DIRECT difficult to flatten.
