Selecting the correct colour for the repair is made very easy with the Bodyline colour identification fan Swatch. These swatches provide a quick & easy way of identifying the colour and finish needed preventing any unwanted re-work.
An ergonomically designed brush for cleaning all wheels, but especially useful for the demanding cleaning of alloy wheels. When used in conjunction with one of our wheel cleaning solvents, it makes light work of removing the most stubborn residue, from the most inaccessible areas. BDPBAWB
The next important step before the application of any paint is masking. Use the Bodyline Masking Paper / Wheel mask or Masking Tape. Please ensure the area where the fixing bolt touches the wheel is covered so you will always end up with a metal and metal fixing. Application of the correct primer system is vital on the Alloy Wheels to ensure the correct adhesion. When the primer is dry, sand the area using a Bodyline P500 and finish with P800 Bodyline Softspeed Hand Pads.

The difficultly in achieving the different types of finish has often discouraged the repair of alloy wheels however by using the latest cosmetic repair techniques and Bodyline alloy wheel colour system this can be easily eliminated.
Whether you decide to strip, blast or sand the wheel it is important to make sure the wheel is fully abraded to obtain a strong bond to the paint. Remove the damage where possible and use Bodyline Fine Polyester Stopper or Bodyline AC Gel to profile any small imperfections. Sand the products with Bodyline P320 discs before applying the primer systems. It is important to be aware of the bi metal corrosion possible between alloy and steel components, so remove any abrasives from the sander before sanding any steel.
Once you have selected the correct colour shade, the process of refinishing is simple with the ready for use product. No additional training is needed to achieve a high quality repair.
Once the Bodyline alloy wheel paint has been applied and is dry, apply a high quality Clearcoat, not only will this protect and seal the finish but it will give a superior shine.
Before the repair is started, the cleaning of the alloy is very important to ensure all dirt and grime is removed. We recommended the use of Bodyline Traffic Film Remover Standard Concentrate and Bodyline Weave Prep Pad to achieve the clean required.
