Sleeve: Yale’s Thin Sleeve Technology (TST) 24 Plait polyester cover. Colors: Solid blue, red, green, white, black, gray Crystalyne is a combination of a urethane Maxijacket coated core of Vectran and an outer sleeve of polyester. The Maxijacketed core is color matched to the solid color of the solution dyed polyester cover. Vectran is a high-modulus, liquid crystal polymer which combines high strength, low stretch, and low creep. It delivers the lightweight, all-weather performance that makes it the preferred choice of high-performance racers worldwide. When strength is critical and stretch cannot be tolerated.

Aracom T- Polyester Cover/ Technora Core Primary Applications: Halyards, sheets and guys Construction: Core: 12 Strand Technora Aramid. Sleeve: Yale’s Thin Sleeve Technology (TST) polyester cover. Colors: White with color tracer (blue, black, red, green) Aracom T is a double braid consisting of a Technora Aramid core with a sleeve of high tenacity polyester. Yale’s exclusive Aralube process infuses the Technora with molten lubricant prior to entering our twisting equipment. Lab and field experience has shown that this added, internal permanent lubrication (non-soluble) treatment leads to an extended wear life (as much as four times). It cuts down internal abrasion, reduces filament breakage in processing and helps us manage fiber tensions in the factory as we ply up a strand. Aracom T maintains a high degree of flexibility, and is easily spliced. The polyester sleeve is thicker than its sister product, Miniline, which gives it better protection in high abrasion applications. The entire strength of Aracom T is derived from the core and the sleeve’s purpose to protect the core from abrasion. Diameter

Sleeve: Yale’s Thin Sleeve Technology (TST) 24 Plait polyester cover. Colors: Solid blue, red, green, gray, yellow, black Maxibraid plus is a core dependent double braided rope constructed of an inner load bearing core of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMPE). The polyester outer sleeve is slightly thicker than Ultrex Plus, which would provide more abrasion resistance in high wear applications. The UHMPE core is coated with Yale’s Maxijacket coating prior to being over braided for added toughness. Diameter Inches (mm)

Yale has developed a special splice for this line which incorporates a tucked core yet covered as a conventional double braid. The advantage to this splice is no movement of the eye in service and a greatly shortened internal tail making the rope more flexible and less prone to being damaged adjacent to the eye. Comfortable, almost fuzzy hand feel makes it easier to grip with virtually no stretch. On winches it grips the surface securely so fewer wraps are needed with less slipping. Knots and hitches hold tightly even in high load applications. PhD Racer offers the softness and flexibility found in other Spectra or Dyneema blended single braids combined with less elongation and improved durability. It glides through blocks faster and smoother for more effective trimming, tacking and gybing. Ultrex – 12 Strand Spectra 1000 Primary Applications: Halyards, control lines, secondary lines, tow lines Construction: Single braid rope of 100% Spectra 1000 fiber with Maxijacket High Performance (HP) coating. Colors: Gray (clear), white, black, blue, red, green, yellow, orange. Ultrex is a 12-strand single braid of 100% Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMPE) fiber enhanced with Yale’s Maxijacket HP coating to supply superior abrasion resistance. Ultrex’s braid angles and twist levels are designed to optimize break strength and keep stretch low. UHMPE is the most forgiving high modulus fiber, giving better bend over sheave cycling capabilities than other high tech fibers. Ultrex has zero water absorption and maintains its flexibility even in freezing conditions. As is the case for all Yale ropes, the strengths shown in the charts are for spliced ropes, and the splice technique for Ultrex is easily maintained.

Maxi-Moor II – Mooring Pendants Construction: High tenacity polyester cover coated with Maxijacket. Nylon Core. Yale’s New Maxi-Moor II double braided rope is improved from our original polyester/nylon construction, giving you added wear protection with the use of new PET fiber for up to double the abrasion resistance. The finished pendants have a stainless steel thimble on one end and a soft eye on the other end with a tag line. A moveable chafe sleeve is installed to allow adjustment based on choke position. Maxijacket & Maxijacket HP Line Coatings Colors: Yellow, orange, red, green, blue, black, clear Weights: Quart- 2.5 lbs, Gallon- 9.5 lbs Yale Maxijacket is a spliceable urethane coating, which is applied after the rope is braided. Maxijacket firms the rope, increases snag resistance, improves abrasion resistance, and helps keep contaminants from entering the rope. Unlimited lengths may be processed at our facility through our automated coaters, which apply and control the polymer penetration, curing the coating at precisely controlled temperatures. Maxijacket maintains the ropes splicing characteristics and is available in a range of colors for rapid line identification. The colors are also useful to track time in service, to color code for load rating, for phase identification, or to make the rope more visible. The coating is also available in clear or white. Maxijacket HP is a new urethane technology originating in Europe. It brings an innovative toughness to our high modulus rope offerings. This new material is harder, penetrated better and is twice as abrasion resistant as our traditional Maxijacket coating. Maxijacket HP is available in the same color choices as our Maxijacket offering. It is applied as the standard coating of choice on all high modulus single braids and can be requested as a special order option on any other products. The extra toughness will make splicing more difficult, so it is not recommended for any products where spliceability is an important factor.
