Our teens have a deeper need now more than ever to forge meaningful and real connections with friends, embark on new adventures, grow as leaders and changemakers, and embrace their heritage—and contained in these pages are the keys to those experiences for every teen’s unique interests and needs. Our summer experiences have been loved by teens and trusted by parents since 1924, and each program shares the hallmarks that can only be earned by a track record with such longevity—an outstanding focus on safety, inclusion, enrichment, and enjoyment. I don’t know what the future holds—living with uncertainty is something all of us have had to adjust to—but I do know how BBYO plans to move forward. We will do everything in our power to deliver fun, meaningful, and safe experiences for your teens, as we have for nearly a century. The vibrant fabric of our Summer Experiences is woven by a group of staff who work tirelessly—to plan our programs, to foster community, and to ensure an enriching experience for all.
DEDICATED YOUTH PROFESSIONALS Despite the seasonal nature of these programs, 90% of our summer staff work with teens year round in BBYO. The choice to also staff summer experiences demonstrates their high level of commitment to our mission: More Jewish Teens, More Meaningful Jewish Experiences.
INTERNATIONAL CONNECTIONS Not only is worldwide connectivity a priority among our participants, our staff also represent a multitude of backgrounds and countries of origin. This helps elevate the cultural immersion of our programs, and allows staff to share their own diverse experiences.
SUPPORTIVE & SKILLED MENTORS Our staff complete a rigorous background check, but they are also chosen based on their ability to support our teen participants during this crucial time of development. Many are Youth Mental Health First Aid, CPR, and First Aid certified, and all are trained to find the delicate balance between fun and discipline that is crucial to a rewarding teen experience.

This summer we anticipate that BBYO Summer Experiences may look a bit different than usual due to COVID-19. As news and information about COVID-19 continuously evolves, we are committed to making this summer one of renewal and connection for our teens. With diligence and unity, we can create healthy and safe environments in which Jewish teens can thrive this summer.

CONSTANTLY ADAPTING Since the start of the pandemic, BBYO has worked closely with international, federal, and local governments, health agencies, and other organizations to stay appraised of the latest developments and to plan out practices that will allow us to operate in a safe manner. This will faithfully remain the case in the lead up to and throughout the entirety of Summer 2021.
COMMUNICATION IS KEY We will remain in close contact with our registered families, as well as the BBYO community at large to keep everyone informed of our procedures and policies, including any changes that might be necessary as we move through the summer. We value the trust families have placed in us, and will continue to earn it through regular contact, timeliness, and transparency.

Our travels begin with an exploration of the Jewish people’s proud history in Poland, exploring surviving vestiges of Jewish life in the cities of Krakow, Lublin, and Warsaw. SCHOLARSHIP
At the time of registration, a $250 deposit per program is required to save your teen’s spot. Program deposits are paid to BBYO. Deposits are fully refundable through March 2, 2021. Trip registrations are transferable to another BBYO program (space permitting) and payments are refundable with a $250 fee through April 6, 2021.
All BBYO Summer Experiences are limited in capacity and subject to availability. Acceptance to the program is conditioned upon the receipt of a full application including a physical examination of the applicant within 12 months of the program start date that demonstrates their physical and mental fitness and ability to participate in all aspects of the program. Receipt of deposit and application forms does not guarantee acceptance to the program. BBYO reserves the right to deny acceptance according to its own discretion. Confirmed program offerings and dates will be finalized to the best of the organization’s ability by March 3, 2021; BBYO reserves the right to consolidate and/or cancel specific programs and/or trip dates, in its sole discretion, without prior notice.
BBYO offers need-based scholarships for select experiences. The deadline to apply for scholarship is January 26, 2021 at 11:59 PM local time. After this date, scholarship is awarded on a rolling basis per availability. Apply as part of your teen’s risk-free registration.

C A N C E L L AT I O N P O L I CY Through March 2, 2021, payments are refundable and transferable. From March 3, 2021 through April 6, 2021, there is a $250 cancellation fee. Due to the popularity of our Summer Experiences and to prevent disruption to program planning late in the season, no refunds will be issued starting April 7, 2021. This policy applies to cases of homesickness, dismissal, or voluntary withdrawal.
