Surface Conditions The Inflatable Rescue Cushion may be placed on almost any surface including gravel and kerbstones, although very sharp objects and glowing embers should be avoided.

The Inflatable Rescue Cushion can also be used to rescue pilots escaping from cockpit windows on burning aircraft or for aircraft without escape slides.

BODY ARMOUR

As the frame inflates air enters the cushion, which is divided horizontally into two chambers, through vents in the side walls. The force of a person landing on the cushion temporarily deforms it towards the centre. Air from the cushion (but not from the tubular frame) is forced out and so the impact is absorbed. On removing the person the cushion recovers its form within a few seconds.

The Inflatable Rescue Cushion comprises an inflatable frame which supports a high strength, flame retardant PVC coated fabric. Inflation is from a 300 bar air cylinder, the connection for which will be compatible with the brigade standard. Relief valves are fitted to prevent over pressure but the operating pressure of the tubular framework is sufficiently high to ensure extended service periods without topping-up.

MARITIME

The Inflatable Rescue Cushion is ideal for rescuing persons when it is not possible to use a ladder. The unit is very fast to deploy and facilitates rapid evacuation. It is very stable, there is almost no bounce-back, the cushion always deforms towards the centre and it is easily transported whether packed or inflated.

Each user inputs their own ammunition’s ballistic variables and velocity along with the rifle’s data (bore-sightline height, twist rate and direction along with zero range etc) into the Kestrel 4500NV HORUS. These gun and bullet settings may be saved to a library for future quick reference. Once the ballistic data is entered, the direction of fire (DoF) is programmed using the Target Screen. This is done by pointing the unit at the target from the firing position and pressing ‘Capture’ to log it. This sets the compass bearing of the target so the crosswind effect can be computed. The main HORUS screen displays the critical data for making the shot. When the is in full automatic mode, the Horus software will immediately calculate the windage (W) and elevation (E) setting for this specific shot scenario, constantly updating the firing solution as long as the unit remains facing into the wind. If preferred, an average wind speed may be captured or a value manually entered. Up to five targets ma be active at any time and it is quick to switch between their respective firing solutions. The Range Card screen shows detailed information about the ballistic

solution at various ranges for the currently selected gun & target. Should a correction be required to the theoretical ballistic data based on observations in the field, a ‘True Drop’ adjustment may be made so that the elevation correction matches what is actually observed to significantly enhance overall accuracy. Wall Breaching System (WBS) The WBS KIS is the high power variant of the KIS family. The WBS KIS can be mounted on a static location, such as critical infrastructure, vehicle mounted or manually wheeled into position. Capable of firing a 22Kg projectile with sufficient force to punch through, non explosively, a double skin breeze block cavity wall. Fitted with a Recoil Mitigation System the WBS KIS uses water or sand filled projectiles reducing collateral damage and increasing safety for building occupants: such as hostages or for search and rescue operations. The WBS KIS can also be utilised for infrastructure and large sea vessel protection through the use of vessel interdiction entangling / disabling systems or SABOT cylinders which contain multiple smaller projectiles for wide area effects such as paint or PAVA balls. The ‘big brother’ of the Buccaneer the Sea Stinger is able to deploy entangling netting out to a range of 500m. Providing a non lethal deterrence and defence against incursions into vulnerable water ways and areas of sea the Sea Stinger is both simple to use and maintain.

EYE WEAR

The Sea Stinger is used as an ‘Area Denial System’ for large marine key point installations such as oil rigs, ports or large cargo vessels that are vulnerable to acts of piracy or terrorism.
