Passata l’estate si ricomincia. Con nuovi orizzonti, partendo da casa magari, dopo aver girato il mondo e nell’attesa di tornare presto in quel meraviglioso mondo che c’è la fuori. È il nostro caso, è ciò che ci ha spinto a realizzare questa guida, a raccontare un territorio, una fetta del nostro Piemonte, andando a prendere le Langhe che proprio in queste settimane sono lo scenario di un importantissimo avvenimento che tutto il mondo ci invidia: la Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo bianco d’Alba. Abbiamo scelto il miglior pretesto per andare ad aprire una finestra su un mondo che è anche un numero preciso: 50. E precisamente parliamo del 50° sito italiano entrato a far parte della World Heritage List dell’Unesco, il patrimonio artistico e ambientale dell’umanità. Un altro prestigioso riconoscimento per l’Italia che ha il maggior numero di siti al mondo nell’elenco. Nella guida troverete anche i protagonisti, gli chef con il loro bagaglio culinario: Stelle Michelin come se piovessero e giovani promesse da tenere sott’occhio. This is our home, and what has prompted us to produce this guide, to describe a region, a slice of our Piedmont, making for the Langhe that is currently the scene of a very important event that all the world envies us for, is the Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo bianco d’Alba (The International White Truffle Fair of Alba). We have chosen the best reason for going and opening a window onto a world that is also a precise number: 50. We’re talking specifically about the 50th Italian site to be added to Unesco’s World Heritage List. Another prestigious recognition for Italy, which has the greatest number of sites in the world on the list. In the guide you will also find the leading figures, the chefs with their culinary experience: Michelin stars as if raining down and promising young people to keep an eye on. Der Sommer ist vorbei und wir starten neu durch. Mit neuen Horizonten, vielleicht sogar von zu Hause aus, nach einer Reise quer durch die Welt und in der Erwartung, so schnell wie möglich in diese wunderbare Welt zurückzukehren, die da draußen auf uns wartet. Genau das ist unser Fall und genau das hat uns dazu bewogen, diesen Führer zu erstellen, ein wenig von unserem Gebiet zu erzählen, einem Teil unserer Region Piemont, ausgehend von den Langhe, die gerade in diesen Wochen Schauplatz eines bedeutenden Events sind, um das uns die ganze Welt beneidet: die internationale Messe des weißen Trüffels aus Alba. Wir haben den besten Vorwand gewählt, um ein Fenster zu einer Welt zu öffnen, die auch eine ganz bestimmte Zahl verkörpert: 50. Denn wir sprechen hier von der 50. Stätte in Italien, die in die World Heritage List der Unesco, dem Weltkultur- und Weltnaturerbe, aufgenommen wurde. Eine weitere bedeutende Anerkennung für Italien, das weltweit das Land mit den meisten Einträgen in dieser Liste darstellt. CASA NATALE CESARE PAVESE

La Fondazione Cesare Pavese si propone di consentire, agevolare e promuovere la divulgazione, la valorizzazione e lo studio delle opere letterarie di Cesare Pavese in ambito nazionale ed internazionale unitamente alla valorizzazione dei luoghi pavesiani. La casa natale, in cui i genitori trascorrevano le villeggiature estive, è un po' fuori porta, sullo "stradone" per Canelli. L'architettura della casa, in cui non c'è più l'originario giardino, si discosta dalla tradizione contadina e denota già un gusto da piccola borghesia provinciale trapiantata in città.

The Fondazione Cesare Pavese proposes allowing, facilitating and promoting the circulation, appreciation and study of Cesare Pavese’s literary works nationally and internationally, along with the promotion of Pavese places. His place of birth, where his parents spent their summer holidays, is a little out of the way, on the ‘avenue’ to Canelli. The architecture of the house, which no longer has its original garden, differs from the traditional country house, already marked by a provincial lower middle class taste transplanted to the city.

Die Stiftung Cesare Pavese will die Verbreitung, Valorisierung sowie das Studium der literarischen Werke von Cesare Pavese auf nationalem und internationalem Gebiet in Kombination mit einer Valorisierung der Umgegend von Pavia ermöglichen, erleichtern und fördern. Das Geburtshaus, in dem die Eltern ihre Sommerferien verbrachten, liegt ein wenig außerhalb auf der Landstraße nach Canelli. Die Architektur des Hauses, dessen ursprünglicher Garten nicht mehr vorhanden ist, hebt sich von jener der traditionellen Bauernhäuser ab und deutet bereits auf das provinzielle Kleinbürgertum hin, welches sich in die Stadt verlegte.

CASTELLO GRINZANE CAVOUR

In diverse sale è collocato un museo permanente, comprendente allestimenti sul tartufo rari oggetti dell’enogastronomia locale, ambientazione della cucina albese del ‘600 e dell’800, distilleria del ‘700, bottega del bottaio, contadinerie da cortile. Il Conte Camillo Benso di Cavour, uno dei protagonisti dell’Unità d’Italia fu proprietario di questo castello. Qui soggiornò tra il 1832 e il 1849, periodo in cui fu sindaco del Comune di Grinzane. A lui si devono interessanti scoperte anche nel campo della viticoltura.

CANTINE DAMILANO

La Cantina, ben visibile percorrendo la provinciale Alba-Barolo a circa 1,5 km da Barolo verso Alba, quasi all'altezza di La Morra, è stata oggetto di un importante intervento di ristrutturazione ed è caratterizzata da un'architettura contemporanea e funzionale. Molto piacevole è il paesaggio delle Langhe che la circonda, ormai famoso nel mondo e non solo in quello enogastronomico. Ma il segreto dell'alta qualità si cela nelle uve che danno origine ai vini Damilano, che provengono dai 53 ettari di vigne che l'Azienda conduce con la stessa cura, abilità e rispetto dei fondatori, unita alla conoscenza acquisita negli anni, il tutto al solo fine di trarre la massima qualità.

It is surrounded by the pleasant Langhe landscape, which is now world-famous, even beyond the limits of the wine and food world. The secret to high quality is found in the grapes destined to become Damilano wines. The grapes are cultivated in 53 hectares of prestigious and select vineyards that the company looks after with the same attention and respect as the winery’s founders, as well as the skills of modern winemaking in order to pursue the highest quality.

Ospitata nel Castello Comunale di Barolo, dove dal settembre 2010 ha anche sede il Wi.Mu. Museo del Vino, l’Enoteca Regionale del Barolo viene istituita nel 1982 da una specifica Legge Regionale ed è la prestigiosa vetrina della produzione vinicola degli undici Comuni che costituiscono la zona d’origine del re dei vini. I Barolo selezionati sono quindi esposti nei nuovi locali di degustazione e vendita al pubblico, ricavati nelle antiche Cantine dei Marchesi Falletti, culla storica del Barolo, nella stessa suggestiva cornice in cui oltre centocinquanta anni fa ha cominciato ad acquistare notorietà e fama.
