Companies in the textile and clothing industry were divided regarding their short-term expectations. The clothing industry was surprisingly positive about its prospects for the next six months despite the war, while textile producers have become distinctly less positive. The order books are very strong in the clothing industry, particularly from abroad and specifically from outside of Europe. In textiles, the order books are not in such good shape due to the segment’s close interconnectedness with other industries.
