QANTAS
...
We love the Qantas approach. Every step of the way from check-in and boarding, to in-flight experience and disembarkation, the journey is that little bit extra special. When journeying from one side of the globe to the other it’s not unreasonable to want to fly in comfort. And no matter where your intrepid journey may take you, we know it needs to be exceptional. We think it is far more preferable to get into total relaxation holidaymode as soon as you enter the airport. Step forward Qantas, who, being as synonymous with Australia as the kangaroo (incidentally their planes are affectionately known as the kangaroos of the sky), Qantas have been serving our skies since 1920 that’s a staggering 91 years of flying, a fact that has garnered it the well-deserved title of second oldest airline in the world. Even the design of the uniforms represent the heritage of the indigenous peoples of Australia. Qantas may be old timers when it comes to hours spent in-air but they more than rival any young airline upstarts when it comes to aviation innovation. One of our personal favourite additions to the Qantas interiors is the luxurious sleep inducing Skybeds that are found in the International Business realm of the plane. We all know that a journey can stimulate the senses far beyond our wildest dreams, and up in the air with Qantas your taste-buds are most definitely in the most capable hands. Celebrated Australian chef Neil Perry has created a menu that takes you on a culinary journey from the moment you buckle up. His philosophy combines sourcing the freshest local and regional produce to create mouth-watering flavours and textures for you to enjoy whilst you’re in the sky.
