LAWNSCAPES, INC., is a full-service Landscaping Company located in Coventry, RI: Lawnscapes is seeking to hire a full time Office Assistant. Main duties and responsibilities to include creating daily and weekly schedules, ordering materials and equipment, assisting with billing of completed projects, speaking with potential customers, providing estimates for future projects, and maintaining social media accounts. The position would also include customer communication by phone and email and other duties as assigned. Proficiency in Excel and Word is necessary. Experience with QuickBooks and/or Arbor Gold is a plus. The ideal candidate should have good oral and written communication skills, the ability to problem solve, work well as a member of a team, but also the ability to work independently. Juneteenth Celebration In Hope

On Saturday, June 17, Shepherd of the Valley United Methodist Church (SOVUMC) will be holding a community walk to celebrate Juneteenth in honor of Opal Lee (“grandmother of Juneteenth”) to increase public awareness of this important national holiday. The start time for the walk is 10AM and will begin in the parking lot of Hope Park (22 Clinton Ave., Hope). The length of the walk is approximately two miles. After the walk we will continue the celebration at SOVUMC with food, fun, and games. If you are unable to walk, please feel free to join us for this part of the celebration.
