COVENTRY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS

Are you a hard worker with an excellent work ethic? Do you want to be part of a team whose mission is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the Public of the Town of Coventry? You may be the ideal candidate for this position.

This is semi-skilled work in the operation of dump trucks, road maintenance, and other light automotive equipment. Employees in this class perform a variety of tasks requiring some skill and dexterity in the operation of dump trucks and other automotive equipment used in the maintenance of public works facilities and grounds. Assignment to this class presumes the operation of such equipment as the predominant work activity of the employee on a regular, continuing basis. When not engaged in the operation of this equipment, the employee performs a variety of tasks requiring manual labor. A valid RI CDL license is REQUIRED.

Possession of a valid CDL Class B Motor Vehicle Operators License

Salary: $21.78 per hour. Excellent medical and dental insurance, life insurance, 401 pension plan, sick time, vacation, and holidays.

Direct Support Personnel provides care and support for developmentally disabled participants of the Town of Coventry Project Friends day program. A DSP assists Clients to become self-sufficient and lead an independent lifestyle by providing necessary support in personal care, vocational, educational, social, recreational, community integration, and adult daily living skills. Successful applicants must: Be 18 years of age or older; Possess an active RI Driver’s License and insured, safe vehicle; Possess a high school diploma or equivalent with previous experience in a similar program; Be flexible with availability; Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and organized.

WAGES: $15.75/hr. No Benefits HOURS: Up to 29 hours per week
