The Pueblo Area Agency on Aging (PAAA) is administered under Pueblo County Department of Human Services. PAAA mission is to provide a coordinated, comprehensive service delivery system that assists older citizens in maintaining independence, health and personal well-being. PAAA is funded under the Older Americans Act and contracts with various agencies in Pueblo to provide services to the community.
Services provided by SRDA, First Light Home Care, Colorado Legal Services, and Center Toward Self Reliance are possible due to funding provided by the Pueblo Area Agency on Aging. Partnerships between PAAA and these agencies provide services and assistance to older adults residing in Pueblo County. Two requirements to qualify for services are, reside in Pueblo County and be 60 years of age or older. Contact PAAA for services at 719-583-6120 or directly to the agencies providing the service.

Vouchers to assist with out-of-pocket costs associated with dental work, dentures, eyeglasses, and hearing aids are available through PAAA. Farm vouchers are available July through September to allow the purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables at participating local farms.

The Pueblo Advisory Council on Aging (PACA) is an advisory board to PAAA. PACA Board members are appointed by the Board of County Commissions and is composed of community members who have a vested interest to improve the quality of life for older adults.
