The Cwtch Camp is your own secluded space to enjoy the simple pleasures of outdoor and off grid living in a beautiful natural environment. The Cwtch Camp is set in three acres of private woodland next to the Daugleddau Estuary and close to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. We are centrally placed making the Cwtch Camp an ideal base for exploring the many stunning beaches or walking the award winning coastal path of Pembrokeshire. Cwtch is our take on a timber camping cabin, handcrafted locally using only sustainably sourced FSC certified solid timber. Each Cwtch is fully insulated being a cool retreat on hot days and a cosy warm hideaway during cold weather. There are also sound insulated roof tiles providing a quiet comfy sanctuary, if the rain does start to pour.

Perfect for families or a group of friends, accommodating up to 4 guests in 2 double beds. Nestled in peaceful woodland Ty Cwtch has a cosy brocante furnished interior, featuring a comfy double bunk bed, thick Welsh woollen blankets, camping heaters and lanterns. This Cwtch also has a family-friendly stable door which is lockable, letting in natural light from the sheltered south facing deck.

Located in the heart of the woodland camp, Caban Bach is great for soaking up the evening sun after a day at the beach. This cabin has been beautifully finished using locally milled cedar; it enjoys a bright and fresh interior with a comfy double bed. Bags, boots and clothing can be stored out the way using hidden storage, making the most of the small space.



cwtchcariad Tucked away in a secluded part of the camp, Cariad meaning ‘my love’ in Welsh is a popular choice with Honeymooners or couples looking for a peaceful retreat. French doors allow light to flood in making Cwtch Cariadfeel bright, airy and spacious. The double bed with Welsh wool blankets makes up the cozy interior.

Our traditional Bell Tents are hidden away in shaded woodland clearings. The cotton canvas provides full protection from the elements and they are fully waterproofed. Each Bell Tent will sleep a family of 4 comfortably.



cwtchfacilities The kitchen cabin is for the use of all guests at Cwtch Camp. There is a double gas hob and small fridge. The kitchen is well equipped with all the utensils needed for cooking at the Camp (kettles, pots, pan, mugs, plates, cutlery etc). Each Cwtch has its own fire pit with grill and tripod pot for traditional open fire cooking. The outhouse has everything you need to keep fresh during your stay; a flushing toilet, wash basin and hot water shower.


All of our accommodation has tea and coffee making facilities and each booking will receive a welcome hamper on arrival. Our hampers are sourced from local shops and will include A loaf of freshly baked bread, Farm fresh eggs, Local welsh milk, Homemade cakes (normally welsh cakes obviously) and a bottle of wine. Each Cwtch has its own fire pit with logs, kindling and charcoal provided. Perfect for enjoying a glass of wine whilst relaxing into your first night at the Cwtch Camp.

Exclusive site hire gives use of the entire site, its facilities and surrounding woodland. food&drink

Close to both Neyland and Johnston the Cwtch Camp is only a short cycle or car journey away from local shops and restaurants. If you plan to make the most of the camp and having meals around the campfire. The Farm House Bakery is in Johnston for all the essentials. Stock up on freshly baked bread and local milk as well as local bacon, eggs and sausages. Alternatively, the local Farmers’ Market is on a Friday morning on the Riverside in Haverfordwest.


The closest Restaurant to the Cwtch Camp is The Bar at Neyland Marina; it is also one of our favourite places to eat in Pembrokeshire. With a great view over the Marina and the Estuary beyond. It serves a choice of locally caught seafood, welsh beef steaks and vegetarian meals. The Bar is just a 20 minute walk or a 10 minute cycle from the Cwtch Camp. Tel: 01646 602550

Pembrokeshire is awash with award winning beaches and stunning coastal views. The county is home to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the only coastal national park of its kind in the United Kingdom and one of three National Parks in Wales. The National Park features circular walks, gentle strolls, full day yomps with wheelchair and easy access paths aplenty. You can even tackle the Pembrokeshire Coast National Trail, a 186 mile Coastal Path stretching from Amroth in the South to St Dogmaels in the North. Coastal bus services allow you to walk the whole of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and get back to your start point, never having to retrace your steps.


No other county in Britain has as many Blue Flag and Seaside Awarded beaches as Pembrokeshire. A short coastal walk will reward you with peaceful, secluded retreats away from the crowds to relax the day away. If you are looking for a safe family-friendly beach to sunbathe, swim and build sandcastles several of the larger, more popular beaches are patrolled by RNLI Beach Lifeguards. For surfing, kayaking or kitesurfing there are beaches to suit all abilities from the gentle rolling waves of Newgale to the fast breaking powerful points of Freshwater West. With over 50 beaches to choose from there will be a perfect one for you.


cycling A variety of Cycle routes and bridle pathways can be found around the county. Exploring by bike will have you taking in some amazing views. The Cwtch Camp is adjacent to the 9 mile Brunel cycle trail, which follows the old Great Western Railway line from Neyland Marina to Haverfordwest. This is a great route for families, steeped in history, easy to follow, safe and relatively flat.


Continue beyond the Brunel Cycle Trail to join the coastal route to Broad Haven and Newgale, a great way to explore the coast line (Part of the Celtic Trail).


foraging

Surrounding the Cwtch Camp and even in the Camp itself is a veritable larder of wild foods. By spending a couple of hours with a local forager, you can learn how to identify a variety of edible wild plants and turn them into delicious, nutritious snacks, meals and drinks. Join us for a guided walk around our woodlands, hedgerows and rivers before returning to camp to cook up your meal. Alternatively you can go on a seaside forage around the rock pools and headlands followed by a beach barbecue.



extremesports Pembrokeshire and its coastline is one of the best outdoor sports venues in Europe. We have some world class locations right on our doorstep. Red Bull’s Cliff Diving World Series and the Iron Man Triathlon regularly visit the county.


If you are looking for adventure check out the Big Blue Experience in Newgale. Oli and his team offer professional instruction and adventures for beginners to the more advanced. From serene tours on the river to action packed coastal adventures courses can be tailored for both individuals or groups and include Power Kiting, Kiteboarding, Kitesurfing, Stand Up Paddleboarding, Powerboating, Surfing and Zap Cat Coasteering. If you’re searching for a natural, carefree wedding and don’t fancy the formalities of being dressed in your finest for a one-night social frenzy how about a mini break with your friends and family at the Cwtch Camp instead? We can create a small festival-style wedding in our secluded Pembrokeshire woodland with help from some fantastic local suppliers. We will put together a package to include fully furnished and decorated bespoke giant Nordic


Tipis, outdoor wood fired pizza oven, modern tapas, vibrant barbeques or exotic feasts. The beautiful Rosemarket parish church is just 2 miles along a narrow country lane perfect if you fancy going from the church to the camp in a rickshaw! We are full of ideas to celebrate your big day in style or you can create your own DIY weding we will happily recommend local suppliers. Please get in touch for further details. The Cwtch Camp can accommodate up to 50 guests with overnight accommodation. If you have guests who perhaps don’t fancy a night in the wild we can recommend near by Guest Houses so no one misses out on the fun!
