December 21st, 2011 To whom it may concern; Re: Beatris Bogomilova I recently had the pleasure of working with Beatris while she was on a work term period (August – December 2011) at Farrow Partnership Architects. She proved herself to be outstanding in her collaborative approach. In the time she was at FPA, she worked on several projects at varying scales and was able to shift to tasks as of varying complexity without any difficulty. The projects included an urban planning competition, a wellness centre, hotel competition, and for the last two months Beatris has been working on a large hospital project in the Middle East. The project, as is often the case, is on a very strict time schedule, requiring the whole team to work in a rigorous, and efficient manner. Beatris very quickly proved herself to be reliable and invaluable in her focused approach on every task. She is very hands‐on with her approach to everything she does while handling multiple tasks while ensuring each is executed promptly and efficiently. Beatris carved out a distinct role for herself and had the confidence and respect of her colleagues. What she lacks in practical experience, she more than made up through her enthusiasm and quick succinct responses. Her ability to engage the issues at hand, question and offer suggestions to a given problem often helped in making decisions towards achieving the required milestones. Beatris has a great future as an architect and will be an asset to any project of her choice. I whole heartedly recommend her. Sincerely Yours

Yasin Visram Project Manager Farrow Partnership

Museum of the Fora 4B Studio, 2013 ARCH 492 Design Studio- Partner: Benny Or Rome, Italy The museum is located on Via dei Fori Imperiali, a location within the monumental centre of Rome. The ancient axis of the Roman Forum is shifted over, and the contemporary axis of Fori Imperiali meets it on the other end. The museum is about studying the objects, rooms, and art pieces in a manner where they are first depicted from the ground floor and registered again on the second level, the ascend marking the movement in time, from Imperial, to Medieval and lastly, Contemporary Rome. It is about the quality of the spaces created on the interior as well as the public exterior.

Queen Street Community 3A Studio, 2012 ARCH 392 Design Studio Toronto, Ontario The main focus on this mixed-use development is the circulation from one building to the next and the ability for it to be a functional neighbourhood block for the residents, providing a condominium, livework units, a school, a library, retail and offices. It is a place where one could easily access the daily necessities and have more time for living after the work or school day is over. The condominiums have access to the child-care provided in the school as well as the retail units housing art studios, shops, restaurants, bookstores, with a cafe connecting to the public library, which also is accessible from the school for larger activities with the children and after school curriculums. The retail and office units are publically accessible through exterior staircases as well as elevators inside, but the exterior stairs invite the public upwards to explore the entire complex winding in and around the shops.

3B Co-op, 2013 Arquitectonica International Miami, Florida The Paraiso Bay is an upcoming residential block of sculpted architecture fronting the water and allowing for the residents as well as the community to use the park and connect to the water. There is a amenity deck that echoes the groundwork and commercial shops on the ground level with an intricate path. The involvement in the project on my part was preparing the presentation drawings as well as drawing the plans, editing the renders, creating a presentation and showing it to the city for approval

Photographer’s Residence 1B Studio, Edited 2013 North Dumfries, Ontario This project is for a photographer who lives and works at home, and his/her home is in the middle of the forest near a lake. This provides a beautiful view without need for backgrounds, however the house has an outdoor studio with plenty of wall space to create different scenarios. There is a private entry on the ground level, and a parking driveway and studio on the upper level that can also be accessed from the ground. The windows are all placed to frame the views of the environment outdoors, and the rest of the exterior is simple and modern.

Thematic Pavilion 4A, 2013 ARCH 492 - Design Studio in Rome This was a very quick design project to design a pavilion in the centre of Rome. The idea behind the design is to provide a place or rest, repose and fun while overlooking the stunning Coliseum. In my experience of Rome, it is forbidden to step in the fountains, walk on the grass and run in the sprinklers, so I wanted to bring that childhood desire back into the Roman world. There are multiple levels to sit on, some are seats, others are lawn, and some have a place to put your feet to cool off in on a hot summer day. There are fountains forming an archway that one can walk or sit under. It is a pavilion for day and night recreation, with the water glowing in the night time.

I believe in finding significant characteristics of everything around me. Art is my way of keeping my faith in the world as a place of goodness and peace, even in times when it is hard to believe in human innocence.
