RECREATION SUBSIDY AND CREDIT INFORMATION

RECREATION INCLUSION PROGRAM (City of Beaumont Municipality)

The Recreation Inclusion Program is for families and individuals with limited income, wishing to participate in City of Beaumont recreation programs. Applications are available at city facilities, at the FCSS, and online at Beaumont.ab.ca/297. For more detailed information please contact rec-culture@beaumont.ab.ca

COMMUNITY GRANT FUNDING PROGRAM

Do you belong to a community not-for-profit organization planning an event? Or coordinating a one-time project or initiative that enhances the lives and experiences of those living in Beaumont? Apply for a City of Beaumont Community Grant!

Next deadline: October 1, 2022

Following Policy No. C15.1, the Community Grant Program provides funding to eligible community organizations to fund:

• one-time projects and initiatives • events that serve the general public, attract visitors, contribute to the local economy and promote volunteerism • operating (core) expenses for organizations in their developmental stage

Who can apply:

• Community not-for-profits registered and in good standing under the Societies Act,

Libraries Act or Agriculture Societies Act • First Nations and Metis Settlements • Foundations under the Regional Health Authorities Act • Post-secondary universities, colleges and institutes • Informal and non-registered groups working through and sponsored by a registered community not-for-profit group

Key Details:

• Request between $1000 up to a maximum of $10,000 • Funding approved on a matched-grant basis • Funding may be approved in part or in full • Two intakes per year (April 1 and October 1)

Canadian Tire Jumpstart is a national charitable program launched by the family of Canadian Tire companies in 2005. The program helps financially disadvantaged kids (ages 4-18) participate in organized sport and recreation by covering registration, equipment and/or transportation costs. For more information visit Beaumont.ab.ca/297 and click on Canadian Tire Jumpstart. Individual Jumpstart Child Submissions must be completed online, please refer to www.canadiantire.ca/jumpstart, under the “Apply” tab to fill out your submission form.

Support and Donations

We are a charitable organization that provides families in need at Christmas with food hampers, gift cards, toiletries, toys and pyjamas. We accept monetary donation all year round.

We help approximately 75 families every year!
