The Block 2023!
The Block kicks off this year with its 19th season set in a family-friendly suburb of Hampton East, VIC. Watch as the five teams take on the challenge to transform the outdated, 1950s houses into something more contemporary in less than 3 months!
Who are the Judges?
For the first time in over a decade, a new judge joins Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Neale Whitaker. Real estate expert and WHITEFOX CEO, Marty Fox, will join the judges some weeks on Sunday. Marty has renovated 12 properties over the past 15 years and wants to see the contestants deliver houses that are timeless but still keeping to the trends.

Meet the Blockheads
Kyle, 36, firefighter and Leslie, 34, educational assistant, married in 2014 and are now parents with two kids. They are an incredibly strong couple who bounce off each other. Kyle and Leslie applied for The Block five times before finally getting chosen.
“We waited a long time, so we can’t wait to get started,” she said. “It’s the ultimate challenge,” Leslie said. They are looking for their next dream home to have a crack at, which they hope to find after The Block.

Meet the Blockheads
Leah, 31, first aid trainer, and Ash, 38, builder, have the most experience when it comes to renovating. “I’m looking forward to seeing what we are capable of,” Leah said. “We’ve done the process of building renovations many, many times, but this is on a whole new level.”
Leah and Ash met in 2015 and have three children. They are both excited to get out of their comfort zone on The Block and be bold and different with their styling.

Meet the Blockheads
Kristy, 34, project manager and Brett, 34, safety advisor, are both competitive and plan to bring their dedication and skills to The Block. The couple have been together for ten years and married for three.
The couple own their own house in Adelaide and are planning a renovation, having renovated a bathroom before. Kristy wants to create a house that will feature both Victorian and modern contemporary features.

Meet the Blockheads
Steph, 27, architect and Gian, 27, startup worker, are the youngest Blockheads on The Block this season. They met in school and have been together ever since. The couple recently bought and renovated the home they live in now. “The reason we wanted to go on The Block was because we renovated our house last year and fell in love with the process,” Steph said.
Steph wants to bring a mix of Japanese and Scandinavian to The Block. “As a residential architect I specialise in Scandinavian, art deco, mid-century homes,” she said.

Meet the Blockheads
Eliza, 37, personal assistant, and Liberty, 34, producer, are sisters from Melbourne. Despite having zero renovation or building experience, they are excited to throw everything at the challenge.
Eliza has worked in the entertainment industry for a long time and Liberty now works for an advertising company, so are both familiar with television. The Block has come along just at the right time for them. “We are both single, in our mid-thirties, and nothing is holding us back,” Liberty said.
