BUYER MYTHS FROM THE TODAY SHOW Recently The Today Show interviewed Barbara Corcoran owner of The Corcoran Group. Several of these myths are true in our market:
MYTH: The longer the house is on the market, the more you can negotiate. This may not translate into price negotiating but means that the seller may be stubbornly holding on to their price. MYTH: Sellers today are desperate. Most are not. Always ask why the sellers are selling. MYTH: You shouldn’t buy before prices have bottomed. You can’t sharp shoot the real estate market. Once you have identified the “bottom” prices have already moved up.
