June Creek
Description: The ride begins with a short descent from the trailhead in Wildridge to the June Creek Valley. From the valley floor, turn right and begin the long arduous climb. At approximately 3 miles there is a creek crossing, after which riders continue to ascend through aspen and pine forests. At mile 7 there is an intersection on a sloping meadow marked with a single log post (no sign). Turn right and follow the noticeably rougher jeep road to the top of the next ridge. At the top, don't turn right or left, but continue heading eastward on Red and White Mountain Road (FS 734). This area is especially scenic with amazing views and beautiful wildflowers. Climb for another mile and take a right at the next intersection. Get ready of a fun twisting descent on Wildridge Road (FS 779). Be careful, the last mile is a steep, loose descent. At the Pavement, turn right and follow the road back to the trailhead by making right hand turns at the next three intersections: Beartrap, Old Trail Road, and June Creek.
